Protoevangel.. i have many icons of Fr. Seraphim Rose! I'm just waiting for his cannonization right now :).
I am sure it is coming sooner than later!

Did you know, that Mount Athos has already written an Akathist to him?!
I do now... :D

Thanks! I just found it! Is this the one you are talking about? I'll have to print that out tomorrow!

On the other hand, I found the following earlier:

Troparion in tone 4
As a faithful ascetic of Saint Herman
you flowered as a spiritual rose in Platina
As an illuminator of Orthodoxy in America
your writings bring hope throughout the world
Having taught us the True Faith
O Blessed Seraphim
pray to God for us.

Kontakion in tone 4
Being one supremely devoted to the Mother of God
thou didst take up thine abode on a mountainside near Platina
and there thou didst crucify thy flesh, with its lusts and passions, through ascetic struggle
wherefore thou art become the first born American saint,
an inspiration and guiding star to American Orthodoxy.
Wherefore we cry unto thee,
save us by thy prayers,
O Seraphim our Holy Father.

I don't have a lot of icons.

Here is my list:

Christ and Theotokos

St. Xenia of Rome (my patrone)
An icon of a group of female saints... so many to list. I usually focus on St. Xenia of St. Petersburg and St. Mary Magdalene in that group the most.

(St. Xenia of St. Petersburg was an option for a Patrone Saint for me but I felt closer to St. Xenia of Rome at the time. But over the last while, St. Xenia of St. Petersburg has become more and more someone I also ask for interventions for and I really feel she has helped me with my grief over my husband.)

Those are my only actual icons. The rest below are either cards (cardboard, not on a board) or literally color copies of icons that are framed.

I have a small rectangular frame in which I put these little icon cards inside. St. Nectarious, St. Seraphim, St. John (the Baptiser), Gabriel the Archangel and a card represeting Guardian Angels are inside of it.

Also in the livingroom, I have larger (5X7) framed color copies of icons of St. Joseph (the Betrothed) and St. Joseph of Serbia. St. Joseph of Serbia is my husband's family Sava and I have been asking St. Joseph the Betrothed also for intercession for my husband since right after he left.... long before I became Orthodox.

In my kitchen I have put some icon cards up of St. Nicholas and one of the Holy Ascension of the Lord.

In my entry to the eating area I have a framed color printings of icons of Theotokos, The wedding at Cana, the hospitality of Abraham, and another of St. Nicholas. (These prints were gifted to me when Fr. was cleaning out some stuff and wanted to find a home for old framed prints.)

In my hallway I have a framed print of an icon of the Nativity of Christ. (Which I move to the livingroom during Advent and Christmas.)

In my bedroom I have framed prints of icons of Theotokos and Christ.

In the room where I sit on the computer, all I have is a card of an icon of Christ that I have on a bullitan board.

I hope to start to replace some of the items I have only cards or color prints of with real icons over time. But I also want very much to get a collection of icons that represent the 12 major feasts of the Church too.

In the hallway where the family icons are we have:

Christ with a lamb on His shoulders.
Theotokos of Vladimir.
The Optina Saints
St. Katherine of Sinai (stepmom's saint)
St. Herman of Alaska
A few angels
Sts. Constantine and Helena

Soon to come: St. Bede (dad's saint)

I really want the icon of the Synaxis of Optina Elders!

St. Bede is an interesting Saint. I'm starting to get into the Pre-Schism Western Saints. They're kinda overlooked, i think it's nice to count them in and teach others about these Orthodox Saints. :D

We have a friend in England who might be able to send us an icon of St. Bede.

The Optina icon was given to us by an old Romanian lady in Miami. One of the saints looks like our priest!:holy:

D'oh! I forgot two more!

St. Tikhon (with the Holy Trinity church of Wilkeson in his hands!)
St. John the Baptist

The icon corner isn't exactly finished. I just put this one together. I want to get a few more icons and a vigil lamp for it.

I also have other icons hanging on the walls of my room such as Christ Blessing, Prophet Jonah (patron Saint of my nephew which I plan to move to my icon corner), St. James (gift I got for my Chrismation and first Confession), and the 40 Martyrs of Sabaste.

Pearl of Great Price (set)

12C03.jpg

The Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple

I have another smaller set that is for travel (folding), and I can't find pictures of them, but they are of the Theotokos, and Christ. I have a small one that I have been looking for the name of, and cannot find, yet. It was a gift when I was Chrismated. Then I have another small one of Christ that looks just like the Pearl of Great Price one, but the background is a lot different.

1231melania.jpg

The one of Saint Melania is a print-out from oca.org, and framed with glass.

Also, I have one of Christ coming out of the tomb, but I cannot find an example of it. :(

All in one icon wall facing the East.

We're running out of space! and they're more icons i have my eyes on. It's easier for me to get my hands on very nice icons because i have many Russian and Greek shops in my city that sell tons of different Icons with Saints that are depicted from all over the globe!

We have a friend in England who might be able to send us an icon of St. Bede.

The Optina icon was given to us by an old Romanian lady in Miami. One of the saints looks like our priest!:holy:

St. John the Baptist

I saw the Synaxis of the Optina Elders icon somewhere online. I have to search for it again. I really want it! lols.

Btw, it's nice of your friend to send you an icon of St. Bede.
