There you go getting all offended again. Definition: "That's mighty white of you" is usually a sarcastic response to a supposed favor or magnanimous action that is actually not all that generous, and, in fact, may benefit the person offering said favor more than it benefits the recipient.

Where do you think the saying comes from my fellow white boy its like saying im going to Jew someone down its racist but thats another issue

Actually i was being sarcastic with you which doesnt translate well in text i wasnt offended

Our Nations DEFICIT is a bigger problem and as a Nation we can't file bankruptcy, now can we and still be free from china/ thugs etc?
You didn't respond to our real issues or the substance of our Nations problems "DEFICITS", freedom of choice and the Constitution!

How about Tax credits for individuals, as businesses have? Make it to where we the people can buy our own health care outside of our jobs. For as it stands now, we lose our jobs, we lose our health care. I'd be "ALL" for that, putting the power back in the peoples hands and for all the other incremental reforms etc, but not a Government injected option of bureaucracy. Make opportunity and the possibility for all Americans to purchase personal health insurance! MEANING: (a insurance plan that fits your pocket book and personal needs) with tax credits/gov. supplement......but with some of your skin in it.

What do you suggest for those who are unemployed and cant afford to purchase gum much less health insurance ?

What, you expect to stay unemployed for life? Unemployment and insurance options with tax credits, AND......? Medicare and medicaid is there for people.

If long durations of unemployment is your concern, if that's the case, you have more of a problem than health-care. As I do now,I have taken my tax credits from my house interest and have paid into cobra with a Gov. supplement.( I have some skin in it) My part for cobra is $321 plus 20% co-pays and Meds, so don't tell me it wouldn't work......

And I have only worked 4 weeks in the last year and have worked around all of my responsibility's as best I can, so with all this said life is pressing down on my family, but we want opportunity not a Gov. take-over!

Yes ,part of the stimulus was a Gov. injecting some of the money for cobra payments. I don't remember the %, but cobra would have been around $980 a month give or take some, also unemployment, yes:(, however; the Gov. helps me. The bigger issue is a Job!

My point smarty pants is Gov. can't pay for it all. Eventually they run out of your tax revenues!

Lets ask this Question, Can any of you buy a reasonable independent health insurance plan and if not, why not? There is where reform is needed? Me and my wife have tried for health insurance Blue-shield, Kaiser etc. (Every-where!!!!) Every where we turned there was a brick wall. Flat out NO or unaffordable.... And justoneway if you think we like seeing a lot of our hard earned money go out the window, more than come in, your wrong, but we also don't think we are owed, free health-care at the expense of you. As for society goes ,we all need to work for it and those whom can't contribute to society, lets reform Medicare and medicaid and those on it (like my mom) can see to health-care!

Health care is not a right. You only have a right to a thing, iff, by exercising that right you do not mar another persons right to life, liberty, or property through force or fraud. In order to have "free" health care the government will have to take the property of others by force and give it to you.

Thanks you, God has revealed that to you:clap:
Here, you agree with a person who just stated that government funds are given by taking from others.

The bad thing about socialism is eventually you run out of other peoples money.....

You stand against people receiving government help with insurance yet receive government help with insurance. You have me scratching my head.

I never said that. However, I am just wondering how many other people out there think like you, that they just need some help although they dont expect to rob Peter to pay Paul. It must not be too many because my impression from many conservatives are that unemployed people on the government dole are lazy and un-motivated.

What one earns is quite relative really. Taking into consideration the fact that without said government, what you earned would go down in leaps and bounds. We would still be little house on the prairie if it wasn't for the government.

besides, Jesus said currancy belongs to whoever's face is on it, and that would be the government's. What they allow you to have of their money is the issue that mammom lovers like to get angry about.

Well I don't posture or am I an extremest by stealing my brother in-laws money for health-care as a small businessman trying to invest his money into bids and other law requirements or over-head etc. Instead of taking his 13% of his money going toward a Gov bureaucracy, I would rather have the 13% in a job. And the ability to buy my own insurance plan.... Do i say or think I have all the answers no,but logically speaking. While working, if I had more of my own tax revenues or vouchers etc for a personal purchases of insurance. With the Gov. regulating curtain criteria s. I might have the ability of independence as individuals to buy personalized health insurance, without a Government take-over. That can't seem to do anything, but ask for more money. In-like all the other social programs. We can't afford anymore deficits at this point in time anyhow. Even if you wanted to force unto all the Americans socialized health-coverage we can't afford it. Lets work on infrastructure and Jobs in America then we can talk.

If we can't agree on something, then we can't legislate, in-act it into law.

I don't believe that for a minute. If there is a will there's a way. People get stuck. It is hard sometimes, but the Gov. can hurt people when they think they are doing right by them as well. Principles, perspective and responsibility can way heavy on people. For instance, My brother in-law (with his hard earned savings) can reinvest, (takes money to make money) work me say maybe 1-2 or three days a week. then has to drum up some more work. He can't afford to pay me more than unemployment. In which I am desperately trying to take care of my responsibility's and my family. Taking the,so called part-time job would really help him for my experiences ect, but hurts my family, investors and (bills), SO, I am working for my brother in-law for free. Told him to reinvest it in the business......... Until the tipping point or I have no other choice and am out on the street, anyhow would be my last resort.(In which I'm already desperate) I'm stuck in a rock and a hard spot, however; I had talked to a retired customer of his that might be able to hook me up with a contractor that works for a nuclear power plant. If you hook up with the right people they have a circuit, going from one nuclear to another and pay a fair wage.(Kinda like a rodeo) I hope it materializes. For ya know people talk a lot. They say more than they can do (Empathy), but this isn't fun and games with me. This is my life and it just isn't about me. I have depends, people whom love me, but depend on me, God help us all, PLEASE!

Certain things that allhart mentioned are not direct transfer payments from Peter to Paul. Unemployment for example is paid by his employer, as are medicare, medicaid and social security. The truth is, the employer doesnt pay it at all. The employee does. The employer matches .0765% and pays into unemployment, but that is reflected in lower pay for the employee. So the employee really pays it. If he is collecting unemployment, he, in essence, has paid for that himself through lower wages. The same can be said for certain medical coverages that are funded through SSI for the unemployed.

WHAT NONE OF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT REAL ISSUES WITH SUBSTANCE? YA'LL ONLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT ISSUES, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE SUPERFICIAL?

As Americans we need to learn to relate and communicate, with respect to all that live here!

So why can't the silver-tongued post-partisan healer seal the deal on this health care business? Surely it should be the work of moments for the greatest orator in American history to whip up a little medicinal Gettysburg, a touch of Henry V-in-the-Agincourt-casualty-tent, and put this thing away. Yet there he was the other night with the usual leaden medley of tinny grandiosity (all the this-is-the-moment, now-is-the-hour stuff), slippery reassurances (don't worry, you won't be "required" to change your present health arrangements), imputations of bad faith to anyone who takes a different view (they're playing "games"), and the copper-bottomed guarantee that you can have it all for no money down, no interest, no monthly payments, no nuthin' ("I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit").

Looks like all you are doing is or saying :D:D:D chopping people up, per-say. We need to talk about all the individuals concerns, relate and communicate. This isn't socialist country either and we have the Constitution to consider, with all do respect!
