fwiw, your posts were good - the other is not open to truth it seems obvious.

Yes, and as Jesus Says Directly: We Must Be Born Again. (perhaps daily? 'borne' by our Father in Heaven)
This is not my personal opinion. This is the opinion of the Orthodox Church, which was held by all Christians on Earth until the 11th century. According to the Holy Fathers of the 1st millennium, birth again takes place through the Gospel and baptism once.

If you remember the Acts of the Holy Apostles, there were cases when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Gentiles who listened to them, and then they were baptized in water (that is, they were born of water and the Spirit).

St. Nicodemus the Athonite, who in the 18th century summarized the teaching of the ancient Holy Fathers, writes that for the salvation of the soul, a Christian must: 1) not rely on himself or other people in anything; 2) Trust in God alone as much as possible (success will depend on this); (3) Work on oneself by eradicating sinful habits and developing good habits. 4) Pray to God.

Is this not the work of the Holy Spirit, enlightening the individual what these are? Is this not what is meant by baptism in the spirit? Because simply having an encounter with the Spirit usually does not mean the individual is sin free afterwards. It might help him become that.

If you read the Acts of the Holy Apostles and the Epistles of the Apostles, you will see that even after being born of water and the Holy Spirit, a person can sin. The Holy Spirit will not automatically save from sin, will not correct the person himself without effort.

St. Paisios the Athonite said that it is like a bird has two wings: God's wing is always in order, but the human wing is different. If the human is also in order, then the "bird" takes off, and the person grows spiritually.
