Amos 5:4-9 These are the Words of the Lord to the people of Israel: Seek the Lord, if you want to live, or He will sweep through Joseph’s descendants like a fire with no one to quench it.
The people of Israel: Not only the Jewish Israelis, but all the Israelites by faith, the overcomers for God. Galatians 3:26-29, seen in each of the seven Church’s of Revelation.

He who made the stars, has power over all things, He will make a destruction flash forth against the mighty that wipes out their military power.
An explosion on the suns surface. Isaiah 30:26a, Malachi 4:1, Psalms 11:13-15

Amos 5:10-15 You that despise the truth, you that extort tribute, though you have fine buildings and beautiful farms, you will not enjoy them. For I know of your crimes and monstrous sins – but at this time, keep silent, because now are evil times. You must hate evil and love good and it may be that the Lord will show favour to the survivors of Joseph. Joseph = the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, now scattered among the Western nations. Proved by the Promises received. Deuteronomy 33:13-17

Amos 5:16-17 Therefore the Lord says: In the towns and in all the world, there will be mourning and sorrow, for I will pass through your midst.
This refers to the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, the next prophesied, worldwide event; the Sixth Seal Day of the Lord’s wrath. Rev 6:12-17

Amos 5:20 The Day of the Lord is indeed a Day of deep darkness and terror.
Isaiah 66:13-17, Zephaniah 3:8, 2 Peter 3:8, Joel 2:30-32, Revelation 14:18-20

Amos 9:8b-15 Yet, I shall not totally destroy Israel’s posterity. I shall shake Israel among the nations, none will be lost, but the ungodly among My people will die. Those who say disaster cannot come to us, we are strong and safe. Ezekiel 20:34-38

The fallen House of David will be restored as it was long ago.
The time is coming when the Land will be prosperous, My people will live in their own Land, eating and drinking the abundant produce. They will never again leave the Land that I, the Lord, have given to them.

Look forward to the great promises of restoration and going to live in all of the holy Land, for My people, now every faithful Christian believer: the true Israelites of God. Reference: REB, NIV, KJV. Some verses abridged.

keras, you are 82. Look forward to the rapture/resurrection event instead. To being changed in the twinkling of an eye to having an everlasting, incorruptible, eternal life body. And taken to heaven to be with the Lord, while the great tribulation takes place here on earth. And to return with Jesus to reign with Him, in different parts of the restored earth.

keras, you are 82.
But what you propose simply is not what the Bible Prophets predict to happen.
I do not expect to ever 'go to heaven to live', nowhere is it said that the Lord is going to do that for any humans.
A few individuals have been taken to heaven, but never to live there. Even with Enoch; it isn't said he went to live with God in heaven. Genesis 5:18

Is it too hard for people to understand what the Prophets do actually tell us what God has planned for our future?
When we go to live in all of the Holy Land, as is plainly stated in many Prophesies, it will be like heaven; as the Lord Blesses and protects us.

With 1 Corinthians 15:50-56, it is a serious misunderstanding to think that Prophecy is soon to happen.
It is all about what happens at the GWT Judgment, AFTER the Millennium. We know that Death will still occur during the Millennium. Isaiah 65:20 and the army attacking Jerusalem; all killed by fire from God.
ONLY after the final Judgment, will Death be no more and those worthy given immortality. Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21:1-7

Why can't you really address these Bible truths and renounce the fable of being taken up to heaven before any testing or Judgment?
I know of people who have gotten over the rapture belief, after careful study, they saw how wrong and unscriptural it was.
It is just people who read the Bible with that preconceived idea and who add words to scripture, who say: Yes! We will be taken away from the tribulation to come and wrongly think that protection means removal.
They may be good and faithful Christians, but to believe false teachings and worse; to teach them, will result in a loss of rewards.
1 Corinthians 3:13-15

All Israelites in the holy Land: NOT the Jewish Israelis!

Why do people see the Bible as not absolutely clear on the premise of the Lord's people being in the holy Land before the Return?
Consider Daniel 7:23-25, paralleled by Revelation 13:7, where God's people are defeated by the armies of the Anti-Christ. Where does this happen? We are told in Revelation 11:1-8...in the Holy City, where the Lord was crucified. Zechariah 14:1-2 and Daniel 11:29-35, also describe this 3 1/2 year period of traumatic testing for the people of the Lord, WHO ARE IN THE HOLY LAND AT THAT TIME.
Revelation 12:1-17 is very informative and gives more details of this 3 1/2, 42 month or 1260 day period: that chapter tell us that Satan will be thrown out of the spiritual realm and will come to earth, his devilish angels with him. He pursues the 'woman', that we know must refer to all righteous Christian Israel. Israelites as per Galatians 3:26-29. They are at that time; living in peace and prosperity in the holy Land, as many prophesies describe. Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26, + The new nation of Beulah. Isaiah 62:1-5

The 'many' who had agreed to a peace treaty with the Anti-Christ, the leader of the One World Government, Daniel 9:27, are those who remain in the Land, Revelation 12:17, Zechariah 14:2b. But those who refuse to accede to that treaty, will leave the holy Land, will be taken to a place of safety, where they will be looked after for 1260 days, in a place prepared by God. Revelation 12:6
These are Biblical truths, proving the many prophesies about the great Second Exodus of all the Lords people, from every tribe, nation, race and language, Revelation 5:9-10, that will happen before the Return of Jesus. Then, He will destroy those conquerors of the holy Land, along with the rest of those gathered by Satan, Revelation 16:14, and bring all His people back to Jerusalem, Matthew 24:31, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

That this teaching is not known to most Christians, is how God wanted it to be. Matthew 11:25, Isaiah 42:18-20
But now as we are so close to the time of fulfilment, God is 'opening the eyes and unstopping the ears' of a few who are willing to put aside false teachings and really understand His Plans for our future. Jeremiah 30:24

The Lords Day of Vengeance and The Great Day of the Sovereign Lord:

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 ... when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in blazing fire. Then he will mete out punishment to those who refuse to acknowledge God and who will not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, cut off from the presence of God. When, on that great Day He comes to reveal His glory amongst His own and His majesty to all believers.

Do not confuse this passage with the Return of Jesus in His glory. He does NOT come in fire then. This time, after the Sixth Seal event, He reveals Himself only to those who believe in Him and keep His Laws. Isaiah 24:23, Zechariah 9:14-17, 2

1/ The Day of Vengeance and the wrath of God;

Psalms 11:4-6 The Lord is in heaven,….. He will rain fiery coals onto the wicked….

Isaiah 66:15-16 See, the Lord is coming in fire, His sword will test mankind.

Micah 5:15 In anger and fury, I shall wreak vengeance on the nations who disobey Me.

Habakkuk 3:12 Furiously; You trample down the nations.

Malachi 4:1 The Day comes; burning like a furnace, evildoers will be as stubble.

Hebrews 10:27...a terrifying judgement of fire that will consume God’s enemies.

Isaiah 30:26 On the day that the Lord saves His people,[born again Christians] the sun will shine with seven times its usual strength and the moon will be as bright as the sun.

Revelation 14:17-20 ..the angel with authority over fire....the winepress of God’s wrath…

So, we see that the first event is the Lord sending fire by the means of an earth directed explosion of the suns surface, literally causing all the graphic effects prophesied.

2/ The Great Day of the Sovereign Lord; the Return of the Lord Jesus; Rev 16:14b

Matthew 24:29-31 As soon as this time of distress has passed [the Tribulation] the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give light, the stars will fall and all the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Then ALL the peoples will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. With a trumpet blast He will send His angels to gather His chosen from the farthest corners of the world. These will be all the people who have kept faithful to the Lord during the Tribulation as all the Christians will be living in the Land soon after the Day of vengeance. Rev 12:6-17
Revelation 19:11-21....Jesus Returns and the destroys Satan’s armies, by the Sword of His Word and Satan is bound until the end of the 1000 years. Zechariah 14:3-5

There will be four more judgement/punishments by the Lord, the first to happen soon, The Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, a worldwide judgement of fire, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis, a world changer that will particularly affect the Middle East. Zephaniah 1:14-18, Ezekiel 30:1-5 This will enable His people, every faithful Christian person, Jew or Gentile, to settle in all of the Holy Land. Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26
Then, later comes the Gog/Magog attack and their destruction. Ezekiel 38 & 39

At the Return of Jesus, He destroys the armies of the Anti Christ. Revelation 19:17-21 Then, at the end of the Millennium, there is another attack by a huge army, then comes the Great White Throne judgement of all people alive and dead.

Note: that in Rev 19:13 Jesus Returns in a garment dyed in blood. In Isaiah 63:3 He tramples the nations....and their blood spattered all his clothing. From this and the sequence in 2 Thessalonians, we can say that the Day of the Lord’s wrath- the Sixth Seal, Revelation 6:12-17 will be the next prophesied event of the end times.
