Whether they're a Christian or not doesn't bother me, so I'd prefer the attractive one any day.

How would you help him improve?what kind of guy "pretty" are we talking about here? Guys can still look goofy or nerdy or even sorta ugly and still be kinda cute. So i say the ugly Christian one and if i really didn't find him attractive, i'd try to help him improve.
...just like Jesus and Paul - oh the horror!
I voted for the ugly Christian.
"... the companion of the [Savior is] Mary Magdalene. [But Christ loved] her more than [all] the disciples, and used to kiss her [often] on her [mouth]. The rest of [the disciples were offended] ... They said to him, "Why do you love her more than all of us?" The Savior answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you as (I love) her?"
---the Gospel of Thomas
The Gospel of Thomas is quite obviously influenced by 'pagan' sources. Now, it might have truth to it (and that might be true). But I am a bit careful of it.
The Gospel was neglected by the patriarchal authorities who wanted to suppress the functions associated with the right hemisphere of the brain.
