Peace in Christ.

We are to hear and receive in belief the Word of Truth, the good news of our mortal salvation.

We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of THE promise….the promise of an age-lasting life (“eternal life”).

Eph 1:12-14 KJV
(12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
(13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

The Holy Spirit of the promise is the “earnest” (given in our mortal bodies) of our inheritance unto the redemption of the purchased possession…our mortal bodies.

(14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

The redemption of our mortal bodies comes at the last trump (at the end of this age) where the mortal body is “changed” to immortal. The last enemy to be defeated is death.

We shall not mortally die (having the promised age-lasting life) as we await this coming moment. We completely circumvent mortal death in Christ Jesus our Savior who gave His life for us.

Death and the grave shall not have victory over us thanks to God and the Savior Jesus the true Christ. He mortally died already for us so we do not have to.

1Co 15:52-53 KJV
(52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Our mortal bodies are not our own as it has been “bought with a price”.

The mortal body is the purchased possession that is to be redeemed at that coming moment when we are to be changed from mortal to immortal. Our mortal bodies are saved by our hope for the coming moment of the redemption of the mortal body (being changed to immortal).

The Holy Spirit is in our mortal body (the earnest of the coming redemption) and it is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

1Co 6:19-20 KJV
(19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

We must live after the Spirit to continue living here in this earth.

By the Holy Spirit are we to slay (mortify) the deeds of the body so that we might continue to live (have an age-lasting life) unto the redemption of the mortal body.

It is the Spirit that has been given us that shall give our mortal bodies life (an age-lasting life). But we must live according to it…always.

Rom 8:11-13 KJV
(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
(12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Jesus died for us.

This is the keeping of the “daily” sacrifice of our Lord Jesus in our mortal bodies….dying to sin daily.

When we keep His "daily sacrifice" (always...daily...bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus in our body), His life is then made manifest in our mortal bodies.

We shall continue to mortally live here by doing so. We shall not mortally perish but shall have an age-lasting life….unto the redemption of our mortal bodies.

2Co 4:10-11 KJV
(10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
(11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Jesus died once for all of us. It is appointed unto men once to die…..in the context of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. After this, the judgment…for all who do not truly believe into Him mortally perish in the wrath of God who is a consuming fire. Those who are mortally perishing have “believed in vain”. They have missed the truth of the good news of our salvation.

Heb 9:25-28 KJV
(25) Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
(26) For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
(27) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
(28) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

We must believe in the name (authority) of the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God. It is not another "son" that we are to believe in.

False prophets come to us preaching “another jesus”….another “son”…the “son” of their church fathers. MANY receive them.

We must confess with the mouth the authority (name) of the true Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that He has been raised from the dead. Confessing the authority of the “another jesus” of the church fathers does not save.

Joh 3:18 KJV
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

We can be led astray by false prophets from the way that leads to life. In fact, MANY are now going in the broad way that leads to their mortal destruction because they are following after the false prophets….their preaching of “another jesus” and erroneous teachings of so-called “righteousness”. They appear as ministers of "righteousness".

Mat 7:13-15 KJV
(13) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
(14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

They say they are sent (apostles = sent) of the true Christ and they come to us in sheep's clothing....as ministers of righteousness.

They come with their church handwritings of ordinances (their works of "righteousness") for you to keep and serve rather than the keeping and serving of God's commandments that are written upon our hearts. Their end (mortal destruction) is according to their works. They are taking the MANY who are being deceived by them to their destruction...their mortal destruction.

2Co 11:13-15 KJV
(13) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
(14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

(15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

You shall know them by their fruit….and the fruit of their way is death to the mortal body. They perish.

Mat 7:16 KJV
(16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles
?

Their end is destruction….destruction of the mortal body.

They are enemies of the cross of Christ as they lead many away from the power of the cross (the keeping of His “daily sacrifice”) which would keep them mortally alive (obtaining an age-lasting life). They have no understanding of the true gospel of our mortal salvation.

Php 3:18-19 KJV
(18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
(19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

The preaching of the cross is to them that mortally perish foolishness.

1Co 1:17-18 KJV
(17) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
(18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

The enemies of the cross of Christ promise “liberty” from the keeping of His daily sacrifice. “Once saved always saved” no matter what you do. Those who fall victim to their false teachings mortally perish without knowing the true good news (gospel).

2Pe 2:19 KJV
(19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

These “natural brute beasts” are MADE to take and destroy those who do not truly believe. That is their “job” so-to-speak.

They utterly PERISH mortally in their own corruption and take MANY whom they have captured (by their empty preaching/words) with them to the destruction of the mortal body.

2Pe 2:12 KJV
(12) But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

The false prophets are there in accordance with the working of Satan (that has the power of death) to deceive those who perish because they do not receive the love of the Truth so that they might be mortally saved. MANY mortally perish by following after their ways as their end is destruction.

2Th 2:9-12 KJV
(9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Mercifully, the Lord comes to awaken us. He preaches the good news to the spiritually poor. He preaches deliverance to the captives….those who have been captivated by the false prophets. He comes to give us His knowledge…the recovering of “sight” to those who have been “blind” to the Truth. We …who believe in the Word of Truth…are delivered from the false prophets. To set at liberty them that are bruised by Satan.

Luk 4:18-19 KJV
(18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
(19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
