You've got to be kidding right? Have you never been part of any of the threads when we discussed drag queens? Is this the first one where we discussed them sexualizing children? I honestly find that hard to believe. Are you telling me that you have never participated in any threads regarding drag queens?

I have heard all sorts of outlandish pearl-clutching claims. But I do not recall ever having seen an assertion of a specific objectionable text being read at a DQSH event.
You keep going off in tangents and I have to keep bringing it back to the fact that I've used my own self as an example. That if I suddenly wanted groups of children gathering around me in the children's section of the library, I would expect it to be viewed as unusual.
But I would be a random stranger. That's the point. And my wanting kids gathering around me in the children's library would be out of the blue. Drag queens suddenly out of the blue wanting kids gathering around them is unusual and seems strange and even unappropriated. And I'm sure you can understand why.
What part of "not random strangers" about the story hours do you not understand?

The reason why the priest, and the doctor, and the teacher, and the instructor, and the police officer etc get away with what they do, is because people aren't suspicious enough. And they're probably not suspicious enough because it's been drilled into their heads that being suspicious equals being paranoid and phobic.
Some people actually like being around children because it gives them hope for the future and will try to make that future as good as they can for the children. We should encourage those that are this altruistic to remain in our society. But yes, the untrustworthy often seek the “jobs”.
So I say something about the topic instead of drag queens, and you ask me what it has to do with the topic.
