Republicans would not put up with a minute of this if Democrats were doing it.

I suggest that we bring up Nunes' recusal statement at every opportunity. If he's going to be so shameless, we should make his life as difficult as possible until he either recants, resigns, or gets kicked out of his seat.

There's a Christian statement if I ever heard one. "I don't like what side you're on, so let's make your life as difficult as possible." Talk about shameless.

You left out the part where there was an accusation of hypocrisy. Do you think the accusation of hypocrisy was unfounded, or do you just think the accusers are also, sometimes hypocrites?

Besides, Republicans (those in Congress anyway) put up with almost anything, while their Democrat colleagues are calling for riots, investigations, impeachments, and assassinations at almost the drop of a hat. ;)
It's funny, they're all for the investigation when it's against Trump, but the moment it turns back on them (when they probably have a lot more dealings with Russia than the republicans), suddenly they freak out. I guess kicking people out who are investigating you isn't just a Trump thing?

Please document any colleague (meaning a member of congress) who called for riots or assassinations.

I think they know they're about to get in trouble and the investigation is coming to a head....against them! So, rather than focus on that, they want to cause as much hype as possible to stop him.

I had them in mind when I wrote that, so you can easily put the pieces together yourself if you choose to. I'm not expecting that you will. :)

You want me to deduce they are calling for riots and assassinations, instead of having actual calls for riots and assassinations?

The Republicans had 11-12 investigations into Benghazi which showed no evidence of wrongdoing each time, and they're still hung up on it. But of course it's only the Democrats who do crazy investigations.

Though I don't really mind them investigating Trump, I'd like to keep it to one issue. 12 investigations for the same thing is a bit much.

It's interesting how you worded this, specifically to avoid those in power who HAVE called for Trump's assassination, but a Missouri state senator.

And while they may not have called for them to happen, they have stated the riots are good and a 'beautiful sight' Dem Congresswoman Calls Violent Riots at Berkeley a 'Beautiful Sight'

What's interesting is, when this stuff happens, there's very little outrage from the left. All the outrage comes from the right over this stuff, but the left acts like it's business as usual and it's okay to do this. All one person had to do was shout "you lie" to Obama and that was a major outrage to everyone, but people can threaten Trump's life and say the riots are beautiful and they hardly bat an eye. Then you want to talk about hypocrisy.

How many investigations are currently ongoing about the Russia investigation? Multiple.

Frankly, I don't "want" you to do anything in particular. I was simply presenting facts and, yes, indicating that there is a strange inconsistency involved with this matter.

There's a difference between calling someone's hypocrisy out and acting in a bitter, resentful manner. Same with saying you reject white supremacists, and with saying you support people accused of being such being beaten into a coma with poles.

Except of course that those investigations did show wrongdoing. It is only because of the obstructionism engaged in by the Congressional defenders of the wrongdoers that the matter was prolonged.

Investigating the same thing eleven times totally makes your statement seem legit. Especially since Congress can't obstruct an investigation to the point where facts found are not revealed.

Part of the point of this kind of thing is that Congress doesn't get to decide the outcome.

It's more difficult when you have a corrupt justice department who was protecting Hillary and her ilk. The real evidence of obstruction of justice came when Loretta Lynch and even probably Obama himself worked hard behind the scenes to get her messes cleaned up.

Ah, but preventing the investigators from completing their work (and, therefore, getting all the facts out) is part of what 'obstructing' means.
