Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Hopefully this past week has been a blessed one for us Learning by God’s Grace, to grow in “True Devotion to Mary” must begin with that grace which is above all graces and calls us to a deeper interior life. It is the work of a life time, as St. Teresa of Avila wrote in her book “The Interior Castle”: We never leave the room of “Self- knowledge”.

Today’s Mass Readings are for Tuesday of the 34th Wk in Ordinary Time. The Alleluia and Gospel help us on our Journey. (Link to Readings for Memorials of today are listed below.) Let us listen as our Mother Mary listened with the ears of her heart; Mary pondered, and did the Truth she heard from God’s Word.

Alleluia (Rv 2:10c]) - “Remain faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

Gospel (Lk 21:5-11)

While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, Jesus said, “All that you see here – the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.” Then they asked Him, “Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?” He answered, “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’ Do not follow them! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.” Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.”

God willing, tomorrow we begin Wk 2 in which we will be seeking an understanding of the Blessed Virgin and ask the Holy Spirit for this grace. Today let us pray the Litany of the Holy Spirit, Ave Maris Stella and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin. Come Holy Spirit!
