Is it really appropriate to traipse around with all of this NObama stuff and to continually bash the president on a personal level? I don't agree with his policies, but how does bashing (not the same as disagreeing) him make Christians look in the eyes of nonbelievers? I know in my town, nonbelievers find Christians hateful, hypocritical, and disrespectful because of their treatment of our President, and it breaks my heart, because politics turns them away from the faith.
So, again (and I am a proponent of political involvement and voting and etc.) is it worthy it to have that disrespectful bumper sticker, I mean, really?
I dislike Obama, and that is on a personal and political level.
With that said, I am not going to stoop to the same level he has in his life's history so far. Thus, I also dislike that NObama stuff. I don't have a problem with people putting a hammer and scythe in his campaign "O" because that's a strictly political symbol. The attitude that often goes along with that, though- That's what bothers me.
I'm 40. And Canadian.
Obama is the most ineffectual President of my lifetime.
Most Americans seem to vote for hype rather than substance, and that's sad. America actually has me thinking that democracy doesn't work. Because the majority of people are idiots and they elect idiots to govern them. At least the idiots on the right elect strong leaders, the idiots on the left elect people just because they can give a speech even though they have no experience.
America used to be such an amazing country, and now you're throwing it all away. It's so sad.
Sadly, you have several true and accurate points. However, I do believe in the iron will of the American soul, as it was once called. People will come to their senses, and it has already begun. Ironically enough, we have Obama to thank for that.
I dunno about you, but as I've been learning recently, Bush is about as strong a right-winger as a skinny kid holding a 50 lb. bag of salt pellets.
And that's the truth of the matter. He was a strong president, yes- But his conservatism left a great deal to be desired.
