God creates an iPad ex nihilo and gives it to you.
Everyone you tell laughs at you.
Convince them otherwise, or explain why you can't.
Thankfully as far as I'm aware thinking like that is beyond me.
If however I did think a God had given me an iPad I would be worried because it would mean that my mind was letting me down or I had eaten a magic mushroom, either way I would most definitely make an appointment to see my doctor.

I like the new branding. That model may be in the works.

How would I know?

Everyone you tell laughs at you.
I guess so - particularly when it´s an exact copy of an iPad (serial # and all that) that had just been stolen.

No, its a pointless challange.
If it's so pointless, why do scientific methodists ask for evidence for the creation of the earth?

The earth was created ex nihilo; no evidence was generated to leave behind for study.

It's a truth that has to be taken by faith, and science can take a hike.

No it isn't - Just like this fantasy scenario, it has no substance. Case in point, I see your Challenge with mine:

Santa Clause takes you for a spin in his Sleigh one Christmas, delivering presents to children all over the world.

Everyone you tell laughs at you.

Convince them otherwise, or explain why you can't.

I think that as soon as you admit that your ideas are unfalsifiable (and thereby are created in a way that makes them unaccessible to the scientific method) no scientist will ask you for anything. (It´s the point where, as you say in the OP, are rather likely to laugh at it.)

The earth was created ex nihilo; no evidence was generated to leave behind for study.
Well, despite all the flatterings you experienced in the last few days - I personally wouldn´t know why to take the word of an internet stranger for it.

It's a truth that has to be taken by faith, and science can take a hike.
If arguing that way is your solution to your own challenge I highly doubt that you will have success in "convincing them".

Actually, let me have another crack at this. Scientific Methodists ask for evidence because ALL of the evidence thus far indicates an earth that came to be some 4.5 billion years ago. Your completely disconnected-from-reality story about a magic earth poofing into being will never be substantiated with anything more than your assertion that oxymoronically, a "Truth has to be taken by Faith", the exact thing an actual "truth" statement wouldn't have to be.

I can't because it didn't happen.

Interesting how you chose to refer to God creating the earth ex nihilo as "a magic earth proofing into being."

With that mindset, I'd be asking for evidence as well.

:D You're the Best Contestant Ever! You answered our own Challenge! :p
LOL

Thanks, but the fact of the matter is: if you apply my answer to the OP, the answer would be wrong as per the first sentence in the challenge.

:) I figured that'd be your assertion. I stand by for your Evidence of this 'fact'. :D
