Mom responds after Cleveland filing blames boy for his death | www.whio.com

Tamir Rice's mother and her attorneys planned a news conference Tuesday. It comes a day after Mayor Frank Jackson apologized for wording in a court document in which the city said the boy died as a result of his own actions.

Looking to cash in on her child's suicide.

The document was not poorly worded. The child drew a firearm when confronted by police. The boy is dead because of his actions.

Now the Mayor has "admitted" the wording as bad, so the court will be prejudice towards the mother who was further hurt (by hearing the truth.) by a "poorly worded court document".

I can see the mother winning a major award, not because the city or police did anything wrong, but because "a mother lost her child and the city can afford to pay her something."

Forget justice and right and wrong. Its just the poor person is sad, the rich person has money, they should share. The court case is just the excuse to get the person with money(in this case, the city), to share with the poor person.

The cop, the city's employee, was sent to do a job, protect the people, the boy was commiting a crime, brandishing a firearm(pellet gun is a firearm.) in an unsafe/threatening manner. The cop challenges the boy, who pulls the firearm quickly and in a threatening manner. Cop shoots, kills boy.

The type of firearm doesn't matter. The cop was in fear of his life. It was kill or be killed. If the firearm was real, the cop or people around the area could be dead in a split second.
The cop reacted. He shot a person with a firearm acting in a threatening manner. He did not shoot a black child, he did not shoot a child. He fired at a threat to his safety.

So the mayor appologizes and the mother is likely to get millions for her son commiting suicide by cop.

I don't get why people sue their cities or something over that sort of thing. Money isn't going to bring back their loved ones, and it hurts the entire community as a whole because now they have to cut back certain public services to pay for the lawsuit. Nobody wins.
