Hi Everyone,

I hope all's well. I wrote this column last week and have been getting smeared by atheists for the past few days, getting accused of all kinds of personal things, etc. Does anyone have similar experiences?

Logical Proof of the Existence of a Divine Creator, Why Atheism is Not Logically Sound

By Yomin Postelnik Monday, June 9, 2008

One of the beautiful aspects of self evident truths is that they can be proven on both the simplest and the most complex of levels. By contrast, to make an argument for what is in fact an illogical fallacy, one must use plenty of skill, sophistry and remain beholden to a dogmatic protection of what is really an illogical position. >>>

Do you have the logical proof of a devine creator? I'm sorry if you recieved personal attacks, but this is a fairly incredible claim to put forward and people are going to tear it apart if it doesn't stand up.

So what is your article? This isn't a forum for coping with mean internet atheists, this is a discussion and debate place.

Well, yes, after I write something stupid, someone usually will point out that it is stupid.

Even from a Christian standpoint, your article was stupid.

Being called stupid for writing something so stupid is not persecution, it is simply the truth.

What a silly rehash of old, long forgotten and disposed of arguments. It certainly doesn't say much for the Canadian Free Press.

Proof of a conscious Creator is readily available. The simplest proof (yet one that no atheist has ever been able to counter effectively) is that a universe of this size and magnitude does not somehow build itself, just as a set of encyclopedias doesn’t write itself or form randomly from the spill of a massive inkblot.

I cannot believe you use this argument unless of course you are stupid or just lying to your indoctrinated flock.

Firstly; if the universe cannot build itself because it is to complex; how on earth do you arrive at the explanation “it must be build by something more complex, i.e. God”. Atheists do not have to counter this argument, because you have done it for us.

For this argument to work you have to keep invoking a more complex system to explain the creation of the previously created system; turtles spring to mind.

No one in their right mind would claim that 10,000 hundred story buildings built themselves from randomness, even over time. Yet those who doubt the existence of a Creator believe that an entire universe, containing all of the billions of elements necessary for life to form, may have come about without a builder. As such, they give credence to billions of times more coincidences to having come about.

There are not billions of elements, in fact there are less than 100 naturally occurring elements.

All elements are made up of protons, neutrons and electrons, through fusions all elements can be produces from Hydrogen the simplest element.

LINK TO FOLLOWING ON PLANETARY FORMATION

They believe that not only did whole planets appear spontaneously.

No scientists do not believe planets form spontaneously.

Imagine that in a small section of the galaxy lies a cloud of gas, made up of molecular hydrogen with some mix of other light molecules (Neufeld et al. 2006a), (Neufeld et al. 2006b). If some small part of that cloud is compressed, it may start to collapse on itself. As this ball of gas collapses to form a protostar, surrounded by an envelope of colder gas, the surrounding material is also mixed and pulled in (Watson et al. 2004). If this material has any initial spin, it will rotate even more quickly as it falls, conserving angular momentum. While the star is still growing to its final size, much of the surrounding material is coalescing into a relatively flat disk that is spinning about the central protostar, perhaps firing off bipolar jets into the ambient medium.

    Accretion and Jets

Finally, the envelope has been more or less cleared from around the star and a spinning disk has formed. The disk grains collide and stick together in spots to form larger grains and crystalline structures, slowly building into planetessimals (Furlan et al. 2005b), (Sargent et al. 2006), (Watson et al. 2007a).

    Ice Sticks to Grains

The central protostar grows, not steadily but in violent bursts and cascades (Green et al. 2006), fed by the material raining from the envelope onto the disk and spiralling through the disk into the star. As planets form, portions of the disk are cleared out, leaving gaps and holes (Forrest et al. 2004), (Calvet et al. 2005), (D'Alessio et al. 2005).

    The Formation of a Planet

The disk which initially may have been flared like the bell of a trumpet, settles slowly onto a flat midplane (Furlan et al. 2006). Finally the envelope and disk have almost dissipated and most of the planets have formed, although this stage may take tens of millions of years (Hartmann et al. 2005), (Uchida et al. 2004), (Furlan et al. 2007). If the central star has not built up enough mass, it will eventually stop shrinking and radiate away its remnant heat, becoming a brown dwarf (Furlan et al. 2005a). If it grows large enough, it will shrink until the core gets so hot that fusion of hydrogen into helium becomes commonplace, igniting a nuclear furnace that heats the star and its planetary system for millions or billions of years. At this stage the star is on the "main sequence," like our sun. A remnant debris disk of dust may remain or even coalesce planets while the star is on the main sequence (Jura et al. 2004).

I was going to carry on but your article does not deserve my attention. You cannot have any complaints about criticisms levelled at you for the content of this article.

It is as bad a piece of scientific rebuttal has I have ever read. The only thing it shows or proves is your ignorance to science and your overwhelming indoctrination to the logic-less, magical mystical, self proclaiming religion of backward non-thinking creationists.

If this is the extent of your logic, then I am afraid you really are stupid.

Did you make it through to his proof of the divinity of the bible?

Do you think fstdt would take the entire article as a cut & paste?

I just revisited the article: It is total bulls---, basically philosophy and bad philosophy at that.

The person who wrote this article has the intellectual capacity of a rabid squirrel.

Not having the patience or persistance of Job I never got past the inane repetitions of 'Something just had to create this'. That is not proof, it is unfounded assertion. But I did get far enough to read this:

Last I heard most plants and microbes are not male and female. Meaning most life is not divided this way!

    Glaring easily verified factual error.

The logical errors are as big, just better disguised.

Soooo..... You decided to come here to receive more abuse for some reason? Maybe you should take the fact that so many are castigating your article as a clue that it might not be up to snuff? Unless it is a Poe. If so it is a brilliant piece of work.

No, he came here hoping we would console him and sympathize with him for getting unfairly beaten by those evil atheist evilutionists

Well sorry OP, you're getting thrashed for your stupidity by atheists and Christians alike. I suggest you take a little time to actually look at why other Christians disagree with you.

They [atheists] believe that not only did whole planets appear spontaneously,

Planets did not appear spontaneously. They formed by the process of accretion, where debris pulled together to form large balls due to the force of gravity.

but also believe that the fact that these planets do not collide as meteors do,

Current theories on the formation of the moon state that two planets collided to form the Earth-moon system.

    that they have gravity,

All matter has gravity. What's the point of this?

that they contain the proper atmospheric conditions for life to take hold and contain sustenance to sustain this life...

Of the several planets we know of, including eight in our own solar system and several circling other stars, only one is known to have the proper conditions for life.

    ...
    all happened by mere fluke.

Ultimately no one knows why all this happened, or whether there is any actual reason at all. In fact, these views are not exclusive to atheists. There are people of many faiths who agree with all this, namely the scientists who do the research, gather the data and form these theories.

Read this latest post on Pharyngula and prepare to laugh out the contents of your intestines. Apparently, our friend here Ypostelnik is not only ignorant of anything regarding science, but also a bit of a vandalist.
