Grass roots? Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, the co-founder of Black Lives Matter, said
BLM, on the other hand, is a grassroots movement that's mostly become a bogieman of the Right.

Grassroots? "Myself and Alicia, in particular, are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories." The group takes positions many Americans would find very controversial, like its view of the traditional family, saying: "We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and 'villages'." Patrisse Cullors, co-founder, Black Lives Matter BLM Support for Socialism Creates Sharp Divide With Cuban Americans

Alicia Garza, another co-founder of Black Lives Matter, said: "I believe we all have work to do to keep dismantling the organizing principle of this society, which creates inequities for everyone, even white people.

Black Lives Matter has done a tremendous amount of damage, fueling the white nationalism story and the anti-police movement and the violent crime throughout the nation. Only when it came out about the leaders benefiting financially (so typical of what soon happens with Marxism, where there is a small wealthy Marxist elite group that rules an impoverished society) did the organization slow down.

Nutty. And not a response.
Your post was nutty, yes. It was a conspiracy theory filled, paranoia laced fever dream. That response is the only thing it deserves. Whoever wrote it has issue if they honestly believe in that, or they are just writing it knowing that there are people out there who feel better when they feel that they are "in the know" and can somehow see a bigger truth that eldudes others.
Edit: Heck, if that post was the op, it would get sent to another forum here.

It's a fact George Soros is supporting left wing causes big time. And look how much publicity the establishment press has given to that Trump insurrection hoax. There are always some violent nuts when you have an event with 100,000 or more people, but to try and make out the peaceful protesters and Trump as insurrectionists is propaganda, Nazi style. The Biden administration even started a Ministry of Truth!. It's not just George Soros, certainly Russia, China, and Iran are pouring money into leftist propaganda organizations here and in the rest of the Americas. Venezuela has been their best success on this side of the ocean.

Just 8 hours ago you claimed that the ones being persecuted by the left in America to day were (same as in Nazi Germany) Jews and Catholics, and now you lay a huge part of the blame for leftist on a Jew? (plus the usual foreign bogeymen) Have you ever considered what you are writing?

LOL. Don't lump everyone who identifies as any religion into one category. I believe Bernie Sanders still identifies as a Jew. And a lot of the most vicious anti-Catholics you would ever hear were at least brought up Catholics, and may or may not still identify as Catholics. I would say that before October 7th most American Jews would identify as Democrats, but after the hatred here bubbled out some have to strongly be rethinking that. We will see in the next election.

Deflect, Deflect, Deflect. Doesn't even come close to addressing my post. If Jews are one of the two groups persecuted by "the left" in America, why do you highlight one specific Jew as the source of the lefts animating power (money), even putting him above the secondary sources of a few countries that have it in for us? (And apparently use "the left" as their tools.) Do you not even see the incongruity?

I did not initially bring Soros up, but a lot of posters are in denial about Soros, and for that matter the extent of Israelophobia. The fact is that in the 2022 election cycle George Soros donated 128.5 million dollars to Democrats, more than any other donor. And who knows how much to others politically to the left but who don't identify as Democrats. Javert in Les Miserables persecuted those in the "lower class" of which he himself had come from. Whether Soros identifies as a Jew or not makes no difference to me, I see his actions.

Oh great, another pointless "phobia" to put with Russophobia and Islamophobia, etc.

It's the puppet-master notions that are disturbing. I have no idea what the real numbers are.

Who is the bread thief in this muddy analogy?

The Nazis killed Jews and posed for photos, delighting in the killing of Jews. There was those in America who celebrated as well.

From what I can see, he is writing for effect rather than for truth.

A well known fact, but how is it relevant to the thread?

No doubt. But again, what's this got to do with the thread?
The thread is in regard to the article: Leftist violence is not symbolic: Today’s America parallels 1930s Germany.
Soros is the individual who contributes more money than any other individual. It's a fact to be aware of. There is parallel after parallel, the Nazis also sent propagandists to American universities. Like today, the New York Times wrote articles skewed toward Germany, covering up much of what was going on.

You forget that the NRA and Federalist societies have been funding chairs at major universities to breed scores of conservative judges.

A couple of American organizations are not going to have nearly the financial impact as Iran, Russian, and China.

Banning trump from the ballot due to insurrection will be thrown out by the supreme court. The first question they will ask is in which court has he been convicted?
One doesn't need to be "convicted" of anything to be barred from the ballot for being constitutionally ineligible. Being president for two terms, not being a natural born citizen, or being less than 35 years old are things that prevent you from becoming president and can cause you to be removed from ballots without any conviction (nor is a conviction even possible, as none of these are crimes). Indeed, after the Civil War, people were declared ineligible for running afoul of the Fourteenth Amendment without receiving any formal conviction.

A conviction might "help" insofar as it gives greater evidence, but it isn't required for the Fourteenth Amendment's disqualification clause to bar someone from office.
