I am 100% Norwegian.
When I was a teenager I was included in Teen People Magazine's annual "20 Teens Who Will Change the World" feature.
I have driven to Milwaukee & back TWICE in one weekend (about 250 miles 1 way).
Wow! You must have done something very interesting. What made them choose you?
Rather than funny-odd, I was scary-odd as a child. I used to do very strange things. For example, I would put myself into a deep trance and try to convince myself I didn't exist ... and it worked a few times. Or I would stare into the eyes of my teddy bear and try to see his soul ... I still have that teddy bear.
"But I'm perfectly normal now," Caner says, followed by an awkward silence.
i don't know how to swim, and i didn't learn how to drive til i was 30, LOL....
Hey, me too! Wait, are you saying that being Norwegian is "something odd"?
Well, actually, I have some Scottish blood in my veins. The story has it that some 100 years ago, a bunch of Scottish women arrived by ship at the west coast of Norway, and they married Norwegian farmers. Why, nobody knows.
Also, I love chess, but I enjoy reading chess theory more than actually playing the game. Once, I convinced my younger brother that he could not be sure if anything existed at all, just to shut him up.
My husband had joined the Naval Reserves, and was in basic training. He was supposed to be done, and coming home, but somehow, they missed doing some blood test on him, so he could not come home for another week (when I was planning on getting him that weekend to bring him home for good!). So, they gave him a weekend pass. I drove to Milwaukee, picked him up, took him home for the weekend, and then took him back to the Naval Station!Wow! What prompted the trips so close together?
I have to sleep with my socks on :/
