I enjoyed the website. Their belief section was very biblical. I looked into the WELS believes some years ago, I can't remember what made me come to the assumption that they were strict. Anyway, this will give me an opportunity to look into the WELS again. I must admit I do have some confusions that I'm working on but my confusion doesn't lie in other faiths compared to the Lutheran church. I'm totally convinced that the Lutheran church is the only church that is sticking to the word of God, except for the ELCA branch of it. My husband and I have had some very weird experiences with other faiths as children and into our adulthood. I learned to be very careful and I guess my personality is somewhat like the WELS and ELS, I don't break bread with anyone. This is what has kept me from joining a church in the recent years. I hope this would change soon. Please pray that I find the right lutheran church for us. Thanks for your emails.

Thanks for the info. I read alittle on the wels in the past. Their doctrine is sound but I remember thinking that they maybe very strict in a controlling kind of way. I'm probably wrong about this. Your church the els, what's the difference between the wels and els? I'm going to look into this further. I sent two lcms pastors emails the other day. haven't heard much from them yet. once again, thanks.

Personal Testimony - How I became a Christian:
How did I become a Christian? Because God chose me, of course!
I am a member of a very traditional ELS Lutheran church, located in a rural area of Iowa. I was baptized, confirmed and married (the first time!) in that church and our history goes way back to the Rev UV Koren. In fact, Reverend Koren actually stayed in a house that eventually was purchased by my ancestors and became my home. I am 100% Norwegian, although I can't speak a word of it! I am married, have 2 children, 2 step-children and a granddaughter. I work full-time, and I play the organ at our church. Not that I am a great musician, but I was the only member who could even play a single note at the time when our other organist retired after many years of service! Never took an organ lesson - strictly piano - so the pedals just get in the way. LOL
