I think I've done myself a disservice. I'm not sure I can smoke any other type of cigar after this. It's so smooth and it has a very delicate taste I can't quite place. I'm going to have to look for more .. underground means of getting more.

enjoy. If you hunt around a bit you can find places in the US that roll them in the same style. I had a friend bring me one from Vegas several years ago. Back then we would smoke one on New Years Eve.

I live in Miami so I know it wouldn't be too difficult to locate some but I hear they're extravagantly expensive; like $100 per cigar. I know a judge down here that smokes cubans, though, so I might be able to get some from him.

I've bought some as presents while on trips to Canada. Strictly speaking, I think it's illegal to bring them back across the border, but I've never had my luggage checked. I've never tried one myself. My problem is where to smoke it. My wife would only let me smoke it outside, or very near an exhaust fan. Like a bathroom, or close by the range hood. Not places where a fine cigar can be properly savored.

Letalis.. my understanding is Cuban cigars and cigars from the Dominican Republic have the same quality, just that since it's "illegal" to purchase Cuban's people focus on those. I tried one down in Mexico one time, good stuff.

Eh, you're at least closer to Cuba than I am and it sounds like you've gotten your hands on some good ones! I tend to stock up on Cuban cigars (AND NOTHING ELSE) when I pass through Amsterdam.
