I do have one hand painted one. Madonna and Child. I bought it in Israel at the Church of the Multiplication of Fish and Loaves. It's tiny.

I LOVE that quote, Kirillos! Love it! That's how many of us feel. Orthodoxy isn't "ethnic" as outsiders think. I think all of us feel a little Russian, Serbian, Antiochean, Greek, etc. the minute we get that oil on our heads!

I hear you. I converted in college at an OCA Church and the parish I attended when I went home to my folks is Antiochian. the deacons and I there would joke that I am a half-breed.

I love Romanian Style Icons.
I had a website bookmarked that sold Hand Painted Romanian Miniature Icons for about $15, but alas, that was on my Old Computer and now I can't find it.

Nevermind, I found the site, but it's down. (tradtional-from-romania.ro)

The only hand painted icons we have were given to us as gifts. The majority of ours are prints.
