10.) Stop playing tug of war with them with the old lady in the first pew after she forgot hers.

9.) Don't wear them around your neck and bend over to your baby saying "boogie boogie boogie"

8.) Make sure they are not so big and long that you kneel on them.:sorry:

7.) Make them out of your left over christmas lights and attache them to a battery pack so that they flash during use and you know exactly where they are at all times.

6.) Quit making them out of Herseys Chocolate Chips and red licorice string :yum:

5.) Stop using them to shoo away that annoying fly during service on sunday

4.) Remember that they are not meant to act as "brass knuckles" when you are debating with your prodestent friends.

3.) Quit playing fetch with your dog witht them

2.) When they are made of plastic and string, you may need to replace them after 20 years or so, so spend the extra $1 you cheepo.:p

and the number way not to break your rosary.....

1.) They can save your soul but they are not neccessarily able to keep you tied down to your fence post during a catagory 5 hurricane that you refused to evacuate from. ^_^

There are quite sturdy rosaries made in the traditional way. And if you keep them in a rosary case, they last for years. But do not twist or turn around the beads. And yes, they can often be repaired easily. Unlike knotted ones.
These knotted ones usually last very long, too, but sometimes the beads break.
These nylon rosariers last for a long time indeed. Even if the cross breaks (if it's too long, it can happen) it still remain on the nylon string. It lasts as long as the nylon cord lasts.
I have a friend who makes rosaries with steel thred. Maybe you visit her: www.glassbeadart.com
