Jesus casually mentions Daniel a few times in the NT

Mat 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in a place, holy (whoever reads, let him understand)"

Rev 1:3 Happy is he who is reading, and those hearing, the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things written in it -- for the time is nigh!

I don't think it is inaccurate to say that the Catholic Church longs for unity with the Orthodox Church, and that is why, as a Catholic, I am not going to promote the notion that only one is the true Church, because of the proposition that our unity would make us the one true Church. Maybe another Catholic would, but as far as what I have read and been told, I would rather say that our Churches are two branches of the same Ancient Tradition and that God is calling for our unity.

Let us become one Church with many varied, distinct and distinguished characteristics, as portrayed by Josephs coat of many colors.
