I'm reading "The Orthodox Church" by Timothy Ware. It briefly glosses over the sacking of Constantinople by the Crusaders. Can someone briefly explain the events leading up to this or recommend a book or website that explains this?

A Short History of Byzantium (which is a condesation of three larger works on Byzantium) by John Julius Norwich explains this pretty well, and a lot more than that... he is not Orthodox and sometimes doesn't 'get' something in Orthodox theology but overall it's excellent. The chapters on the Crusades are towards the end, obviously.
