No problem. last time I checked the Republicans still have the majority in the senate. Go ahead Dems try and block the nomination. Republicans will use the Nuclear option and Democrats will be crying foul.
I think Republicans are trying to make it into a fight when it doesn't really merit one. I think he's a reasonable choice. I expect him to be questioned extensively in due process, but I don't see a filibuster or any strong opposition.

I agree, he seems to just be a normal conservative. He's not out there on abortion and as long as the Democrats can figure out if he was blowing sunshine up NARAL's shorts in '03, he should be okay.
