Oh of course. And here I thought they hated lawyers. *shrug* Only when they do their cases of course do they like them. When they uphold the law (such as with the Ten Commandments or something else) they're bad "judicial activist". And how funny a lot of them claim "activist judges" when they are wanting the judges to do their activisim with Roe V Wade. If it wasn't reality I would be laughing all the type at the hypocriacy.

It's typical that the Radical Religious Right's kneejerk reaction is to sue. What's interesting is that, by any conservative judicial philosophy, their case is so bad it won't make it past the first motion for summary judgment. Dollars to donuts says that, when their case is booted and they're ordered to pay court costs, they blame it on "judicial activism."

And you think it's that easy? You don't know the surcumstance and why she was raped and she might be too afraid y'know. It shouldn't be anybody's business in the first place! When did it become your business to what a woman does in the privacy of her own home? Especially when you know good and well not everyone out there believes in the same thing?

If she was raped, she could have gone to the hospital. They would have collected evidence for the police and then administered the morning after pill (which is nothing more than a higher dose of regular bc, btw).

I don't think any of us want to go to a pharmacy where our pharmacist is allowed to deny us a prescription they don't like. What if we or a family member takes anti-depressants, and they refuse to fill it, because they think anti-depressants are a crutch and people should just buck up? What if you have a child taking Ritalin and the pharmacist feels that Ritalin is far too overprescribed and so they won't fill it anymore? What if your husband has a Viagra prescription which the pharmacist decides not to fill because he or she doesn't think your husband should be having sex?

Yes, it's not the medical definition of pregnancy. However, it is God's definition of pregnancy. And that, my friend, is what matters the most.

I think you know as well as anyone else that there is no place in the Bible where we are told that life begins when an egg is fertilized.

Exactly. I wouldn't want someone like Tom Cruise behind the counter in that case!

If she got raped in the privacy of her own home, then why the problem going to the hospital.

You don't even know when I'm on your side.

The article didn't tell how she got raped and it's personally nobody's business anyways. And it shouldn't be anybody's business as to why she didn't go to the hospital. She I'm sure had her own reason's. The point is that it's the job of pharmacists to fill the perscription no matter what the case is. I'm not going them for moral speeches or whatever. It's ridiculous they're doing this and they should be ashamed to call themselves pharmascists. The point of the article with the woman is to tell how she didn't find anybody to get her the pills she needed to keep from getting pregnant because of "moral values". So would you rather her get an actual abortion instead?

Tom Cruise understands the history of antidepressants. You don't.

NP/PA's prescribing powers are limited, they cannot just write a prescription for 'anything'. And most have to work under the physician. With some exceptions, diagnosises and prescriptions made by the NP/PA have to be counter signed by a physician.

Diagnosis and treatment may seem like a bit of scribbles to you, but there is a lot of thinking that goes on behind the scribbles. Physicians who are not trained in their specialities do not (normally) venture outside their area of expertise when prescribing drugs. If you think writing prescription can be done with people with far less schooling, why is it that a cardiologist would never want to touch prescriptions for people with kidney problems? Evidently, you know something they don't. ;)...
I understand what you have said. Not disagreeing. My point was that doctors are not the ONLY ones allowed to write prescription.

Man, nobody seems to get that joke.

Don't you remember the infamous interview with Matt Lauer?

*shrug* I never saw it. Don't watch Tom Cruise. I find him rather boring as an actor. Sorry I missed it. I seem to be bad at catching jokes. *shrug*

Should the pharmacy refuse to fill my hormone perscritions? After all I'm transsexual and a lot of people disagree with that. Should I have a hard time obtaining testerone blockers and estrogens?

You missed an even more obvious one-viagra and other sex related drugs. Not much use for them other than gettin laid, is there?
