Finnish study: Transgender surgeries for minors do not solve mental health issues

A comprehensive new study from researchers in Finland found that providing adolescents with transgender drugs or surgeries does not appear to solve the underlying mental health problems faced by youths who struggle with their gender identity.

While some lawmakers and transgender activists have claimed that puberty-blocking drugs and transgender surgical procedures are “life-saving medicine,” the study disputes that claim. The research did not find any statistically significant reduction in suicides among adolescents who received “medical gender reassignment” through hormonal or surgical interventions.

“[The research] does not support the claims that [gender reassignment] is necessary in order to prevent suicide,” the researchers wrote in the study. “[Gender reassignment] has also not been shown to reduce even suicidal ideation, and suicidal ideation is not equal to actual suicide risk.”

The study analyzed the mortality rates, including the suicide rates, of Finns under the age of 23 who had sought psychiatric help for gender identity issues between the years 1996 and 2019. The researchers published the study in the peer-reviewed BMJ Mental Health.

Yes this is all relatively new and there are little long term studies. The idea that adults were willing to dismiss the unknowns and experiment with young people based on their own subjective ideas and beliefs seems unreal and strange to have happened in an age of knowledge and critical thinking.

It goes to show that people can be blinded by ideology even to the point of harming others to maintain and promote their unreal ideas on society. On innocent children and young people. This will become another child abuse issue as more people wake up to having their lives destroyed and made worse.

Imagine that! Surgically mutilating a child to resemble the opposite sex does not actually turn them into the opposite sex!

Just like buying a kid a Superman suit doesn't mean that they can dress up in it and actually fly when they jump off a roof while wearing it. Who'da thunk it???

You know why? Because in the real world, boys and girls, there is a vast difference between make-believe, pretend, and real life.

Most of us learn this by the time we're about six, seven years old or so; but, these days, a lot of people have come down with Woke Virus, which, as we know, destroys the higher reasoning centers in the brain, and renders the victim a doddering imbecile, while still maintaining the illusion that they're smarter than everyone else.

But as Aretha Franklin once so cogently observed, "It ain't necessarily so."
