Isaiah 40:22
New King James Version (NKJV)
22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,
And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,
Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,
And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

A circle is a FLAT 2D shape. So this verse says that the earth is flat.
No, contrary to popular belief, the Earth is flat. If you go out sailing on the ocean, you will eventually go over a precipice into an abyss full of snarling sea monsters that will gobble you up, then poop you out on the Lost City of Atlantis so King Neptune and the Little Mermaid will have a gargantuan time cleaning up sea monster feces from the watery streets and domed buildings there.
So to end this topic. According to the bible the earth is flat.
So are you saying when it says circle it doesnt mean circle? So instead of saying yeah it does, your going to its hebrew meaning it has multiple meanings. Oh ok couldnt you do that with anything. Isnt it just pretty simple it says circle a 2d flat shape. And if the original hebrew has different meaning why is translated to circle then. But ok i understand your point. Ive got the answer cheers. No, it's not. The "circle" you refer to, is a word that has 3 dimensional meaning. Hebrew is tricky like that. and nearly every mention of such thing is poetry. The Bible is not a science text book, and reading it as if it were ... does no one any favors.

Yes the KJV does say circle of the earth. Now the real question should be does the KJV reflect the original Hebrew? Or do you believe the Hebrew people used the KJV themselves? Next question is God bound by the English translation of the bible? So lets look at the Hebrew word
The word in question is:
