Diversity

I was just reminded of an experiment in Russia that involved foxes. The experiment was to see if selective breeding of the most friendly foxes would lead to a breed of friendly foxes. The experiment showed that by selective breeding, the social behavior of the foxes could be changed.

I would suggest that most of what is called ethnic diversity is really selective breeding within the ethnic group that produced a group of people with certain characteristics.

America was supposed to be a melting pot where ethnic differences just naturally melted away. I am not sure that is possible, nor am I sure that is what God wants. I believe the ethnic diversity began when God caused the people to speak different languages when they were trying to build the Tower of Babel. I believe the Tower of Babel was an attempt to confront God instead of bow down to God.

When you look at world events, you see violence when diverse ethnic groups are forced to coexist. It may be possible for forced selective breeding to change social characteristics but I believe most ethnic groups believe they are correct and others are wrong. I believe most ethnic groups would rather die than to change.

I say these things not to belittle anyone, but rather to give understanding to the conflicts/situations that we face. I believe it is unreal to advocate the melting pot concept.

I believe that America prospered as a Christian Nation that was tolerant of other ethnic groups, but is now being torn apart by different ethnic groups fighting for control. Christians will not tolerate Atheism being taught in the public schools. It was bad enough that evolution was taught, but homosexual, transgender and other perversions are not tolerable. It really does not matter who wins the election if the ethnic differences remain, because the looser will always become the spoiler.

I believe in Christianity, Capitalism and Democracy. America was a Christian Nation until socialism was introduced in the government by the Roosevelt Administration. That socialism has led to the rise of the Atheistic Ethnic Group.

The Russian Fox experiment showed that the social nature of foxes could be changed by selective breeding, and rebuking evil is a method of selective breeding.

I believe the Bible teaches all things should be dealt with by the following three levels of action;
1) If it is good - accept it and nourish it.
2) If it is evil - reject/rebuke it but tolerate it.
3) If it threatens your existence - destroy it before it destroys you. This is self defense, which both the individual and society have a right and responsibility to do.

The first two are from the New Testament of the Bible and represent the Law of Love. The third is from the Old Testament of the Bible and represents the Law of Purity/Self Defense. The New Testament deals more with personal responsibility and the Old Testament deals more with the preservation of society. The Old Testament and the New Testament together present God's Law, a means of survival for a person, a nation and a world.

I believe America strayed from Christian Principles because Christians were enticed by what was perceived to be freebies offered by socialism. The thing they did not realize was that the freebies benefitted the Atheistic Lifestyle more than it benefitted the Christian Lifestyle. America is now involved in the Cultural War.

There is a cultural war in America between Christians and Atheists. This war is being fought on the battlefield of politics. The battles are in the voting booth. The prize in the cultural war is the hearts, minds and souls of the children. The Atheistic liberal news media greatly influences both domestic and foreign policy by constantly reporting only bad news about Christians, Conservatives and Republicans and only good news about atheists, liberals and democrats. The agenda of the Atheistic liberal news media is to promote extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, inappropriate contentography, abortion, homosexuality and the Atheistic Lifestyle by having democrats in control of government.

America was never a Christian Nation. It is, and was, a nation in which the predominant religion is, and was, Christianity. There is a distinct difference.

The former supposes that the nation was founded on the basis of Christianity, and should follow the principles outlined by by the Bible.

The latter recognises that many people follow the religion of Christianity and this belief causes them to express their Christian views regarding who they vote for and the policies/laws they want passed and enforced.

The prize in the cultural war is the hearts, minds and souls of the children.

Why not treat them as autonomous individuals in regards to theology? Teach them all religions, and accurately, not the Karl Rove version of Christianity.

What's wrong with environmentalism, socialism, feminism, homosexuality, euthanasia and inappropriate contentography? What is "The Atheistic" lifestyle? If you feel it is characterized by a lack of ethics, you are mistaken. Many atheists conduct themselves ethically just as any theist would. Some atheists even obey laws because they see the virtue of law, and not just the fear of punishment.

The United States is an advanced, western, constitutional democracy whose constitution recognizes freedom of, and freedom from religion. Prayer in public school, I am sure you can see, is blatantly unconstitutional.

Response

It is appropriate to teach every child all religions, then show them the evidence that the Christian Religion is superior to all other religions (especially the Atheistic Religion).

The Atheistic Lifestyle is living or advocating extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, inappropriate contentography, abortion, and homosexuality. People that advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle usually oppose the death penalty, oppose wars, accept evolution, etc.

The religion of Atheism is preached and taught by the Atheistic Liberal News and Entertainment Industry.

How can it be ethical to advocate homosexuality when there are 2 million deaths per year due to homosexual activity. How can it be ethical to advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle when it can be shown to lead to disease, death and destruction.

Freedom from religion is anarchy because the concept of law, and the concept of good and evil that makes law necessary are from God and the Bible.

Prayer in public school is blatantly unconstitutional only if the diversity is more important than survival of the nation. Keep in mind that prayer in school was constitutional for 150 years. Which was wrong, allowing prayer or the change to not allowing prayer? A lot of people think things starting going downhill when prayer was removed from school by the activist judges that the Republicans are attempting to replace with conservative judges.

Then that is pushing one religion over all the others in public schools which blatantly violates seperation of chuch and state.

The Atheistic Lifestyle is living or advocating extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, inappropriate contentography, abortion, and homosexuality. People that advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle usually oppose the death penalty, oppose wars, accept evolution, etc.

And here's me thinking it was the idea that there was no God. Anything else is a result of the person in question and not as a result of their atheistic (non)beliefs. You get certain Christians who advocate some or even all of the things you have listed. Do that mean they are really living the 'atheistic lifestyle' too?

The religion of Atheism is preached and taught by the Atheistic Liberal News and Entertainment Industry.

Atheism is not a religion.
News, overall, is not liberal.
The entertainment industry can do whatever it wants as long as people keep supporting it.

How can it be ethical to advocate homosexuality when there are 2 million deaths per year due to homosexual activity.

Source please.

Tens of millions die every year from famine and starvation. Why don't you, as a Christian, try to bring attention to this issue instead of the frankly boring triumvirate of homosexuality, environmentalism and inappropriate contentography.

How can it be ethical to advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle when it can be shown to lead to disease, death and destruction.

If it 'can be shown' then show it. With sources and evidence. Unless this is just your opinion of course ;)

Freedom from religion is anarchy because the concept of law, and the concept of good and evil that makes law necessary are from God and the Bible.

Proof please. And if so, please show the federal or state laws that outlaw or enforce:

1. Honor thy father and thy mother
2. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me
3. That shalt make no graven images
4. Thou shalt not covet
5. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
6. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery

Prayer in public school is blatantly unconstitutional only if the diversity is more important than survival of the nation.

This nation will survive just fine without verbal prayer in schools. Pray silently whilst in school. Pray verbally whilst walking home from school. Pray as loud as you want whilst you're at home. A few hours a day praying silently as opposed to verbally makes no difference. Does it?

Keep in mind that prayer in school was constitutional for 150 years.

So was slavery (well, close to 150 years). Your point?

Which was wrong, allowing prayer or the change to not allowing prayer?

Allowing prayer. Next question?

A lot of people think things starting going downhill when prayer was removed from school

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Things would have gone downhill anyways. If a few minutes of prayer per day in schools was the only thing that kept people from going off the rails then this country is doomed any way you slice it.

by the activist judges that the Republicans are attempting to replace with conservative judges.

And when Democrats come into power this process will be reversed. That's the wonderful thing about balance of powers: it's balanced. You'll never have a bench full of conservative judges, nor one full of activists.

America was supposed to be a melting pot where ethnic differences just naturally melted away

That was the view advanced by "progressives" in government schools starting in the late 19th century. It was still promoted when I was in one of those government institutions. Not the view of the founders. Their idea was everyone accepted a common rule of law to preserve the liberty to be whatever they desired to be.

Interesting. So the Founders wouldn't mind today's focus on "multiculturalism"?

Of course not. Freedom from religion only means that no one is going to pressure you to be a Muslim, or a Hindu, or a Jew, or a Buddhist. Or an atheist. You surely can't disagree with that.

Prayer in public school is blatantly unconstitutional only if the diversity is more important than survival of the nation. Keep in mind that prayer in school was constitutional for 150 years. Anyone can pray in school. But a public school can't mandate, or direct a particular sectarian prayer service during school hours. You should keep in mind that back in the old days, a school board had actually composed a specific prayer that was said each morning. Really, do you want a school board dictating what kind of prayer your children should say? That's what the Supreme Court squashed--and rightly so.

The US is a religiously diverse nation. The true meaning of the 1st Amendment is that government should neither promote nor prohibit the practice of any specific religion. Nor should it favor any lawful religion over another. Christianity, in all its forms, has to compete against all other religions. It can't receive any special or preferred treatment. I don't at all perceive that mass entertainment promotes atheism. But even so, there are numerous Christian radio stations, books, magazines, web sites, and religious TV channels to get out a different message. Not to mention a huge Christian music industry and movies with Christian themes. Christianity doesn't lack for free and open media exposure anywhere. No one is treating Christianity unfairly.

But Christianity doesn't deserve favored treatment either. No specific religion does. Do you agree?

That's a fine suggestion you make until coercing children to favor your own belief system in relation to others. I know that if I were to have a child, that child would be free to choose whether he or she is an atheist, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, etc... you get the idea.

Proper education on theology is a wonderful opportunity, but its purpose must be for its own edification, not politics.

Extreme environmentalism? Is not God the owner of the Earth? Are we not morally obligated to be good stewards of its creation in advocating sustainable environmental policies? If a business' practice is unsustainable, that business must be corrected in its unjust actions against the occupants of Earth and future generations who will be deprived of resources.

Which leads me to socialism. Am I not "my brother's keeper"? Of course I am. His social wellbeing, the basic necessities of life -- Food, House, Health must at least be provided for him to be a productive member of society. It is a moral obligation.

inappropriate contentography is a tricky subject. It's an industry which openly exploits women, just as anything under the means of production, but it can also be done ethically. Ethical inappropriate contentography is possible.

How can it be ethical to advocate homosexuality when there are 2 million deaths per year due to homosexual activity. How can it be ethical to advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle when it can be shown to lead to disease, death and destruction.

A.I.D.S. and H.I.V. are not an exclusively homosexual problem. It kills heterosexual Africans at an alarming rate as well. Disease, death and destruction? Are these necessary outcomes of atheism? No.

Just laws may be derived from reason, not just by God. This is seen throughout theological literature. The Golden Rule, and Aristotle's The Golden Mean are everywhere in religious and non-religious texts. Immanuel Kant's Categorical Imperative anyone?

You have a misunderstanding of American history. There were no "public" schools accessible to the American society until recently. Most formal schooling was done at home or at religious institutions, but now that we have a public school system, it must remain secular.

"Activist Judges"? Do you not see the activism of Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito? What activist precedents they are setting are truly remarkable.

I sincerely wish that you are a troll. Religion and atheism must get along in a secular and pluralistic society.

The problem is, no such evidence exists -- will you let honesty get in the way of your agenda?

The Atheistic Lifestyle is living or advocating extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, inappropriate contentography, abortion, and homosexuality. People that advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle usually oppose the death penalty, oppose wars, accept evolution, etc.

And in moderation, there's nothing wrong with any of those things. Your own lifestyle, however, taken to the extreme (as it can only be) is far more harmful.

The religion of Atheism is preached and taught by the Atheistic Liberal News and Entertainment Industry.

How can it be ethical to advocate homosexuality when there are 2 million deaths per year due to homosexual activity.

There are that many gay-bashing attacks? Fundies are more dangerous than I thought.

How can it be ethical to advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle when it can be shown to lead to disease, death and destruction.

because it does not -- apparantly you're not going to let honesty get in the way of your agenda.

Freedom from religion is anarchy because the concept of law, and the concept of good and evil that makes law necessary are from God and the Bible.

So our Founding Fathers were anarchists for advocating freedom of religion. Good on them.

As was slavery.

Mandating prayer. Find me a school in this country where a student is not allowed to pray.

A lot of people think things starting going downhill when prayer was removed from school by the activist judges that the Republicans are attempting to replace with conservative judges.

A lot of people are ignorant. Republicans pander to them for easy votes. Doesn't make it right.

I want to thank you for reminding me that another of the things that Atheists believe in is separation of church and state. There is no mention of separation of church and state in the American Constitution but Atheists must keep Christians out of politics because the only thing that stands between imposing Atheism on every American is Christianity.

I believe there is a parallel between Christian and Atheists.

There is Christianity, Christian Lifestyle, and Christian Principles where the Christian has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord/Savior and committed to following the commandments/doctrines of the Bible. The commandments/doctrines of the Bible are the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament and the concept of "love your neighbor as yourself" in the New Testament.

There is Atheism, Atheistic Lifestyle, and Atheistic Principles where the person has accepted Satan as Master and committed to following Atheistic Principles. The Atheistic Principles are extreme environmentalism, socialism, feminism, inappropriate contentography, abortion, and homosexuality. People that advocate the Atheistic Lifestyle usually oppose the death penalty, oppose wars, accept evolution, demand separation of church and state, hope medical science will cure all disease, hope science will explain creation, hope government will provide for all human needs.

The only perfect Christian was Jesus Christ and the only perfect Atheist was Satan. Some would like to think there is a third group that are the undecided. Some of the undecided accept most of the Christian Principles, but not all. Others of the undecided accept most of the Atheistic Principles but not all. The problem for the undecided is that God considers only two groups, those that have accepted Jesus Christ and will go to heaven, and those who have rejected Jesus Christ and will go to hell. The undecided will be counted with the Atheist.

There are people that call themselves Christians that accept Atheistic Principles. I really don't know how God will deal with them at the Day of Judgement. Christians are not perfect, so there will never be a perfect Christian at the Judgement, but there are things that the Bible clearly condemns that is being accepted by people who call themselves Christians. I will leave that for God to resolve on the Day of Judgement.

I do not understand the concept of a Christian Homosexual(involved in homosexual activity), a Christian Adulterer (involved in adultery), a Christian Socialist, a Christian democrat, etc. I will leave that for God to resolve on the Day of Judgement.

You must surly be aware that Atheists are actively seeking to silence Christians and to force Christians to accept inappropriate contentography, abortion and homosexuality by judicial rulings.

As soon as democrats are elected to public office they enact homosexual marriage/union legislation. A program of homosexual, transexual, etc is being developed in Massachusetts that is intended to be the model for all of America.

www.massresistance.org

A lot of people think they can straddle the fence, but either God controls your life or Satan controls your life. The Bible states this as: Matthew 6:24 states, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

No-one wants to force atheism on you. Atheists don't give a damn what you believe, as long as you don't interfere with their lives. The same can frequently not be said of Christianity.

Yes...

...no. Few atheists adhere to all these, and some probably adhere to none of them. As much as you want to, you simply can't use that big ol' generalising brush here. It's more complicated than just "Atheists believe in bad things!!".

And...oppose wars? Isn't that what Christians are supposed to do?

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God" - Matthew 5:9

The only perfect Christian was Jesus Christ and the only perfect Atheist was Satan.

Satan was an atheist? I would have thought that he believed in the existence of God, he just didn't have faith in him.

There are people that call themselves Christians that accept Atheistic Principles. I really don't know how God will deal with them at the Day of Judgement.

If they have accepted Jesus Christ then they will go to Heaven. Everybody sins.

Christians are not perfect, so there will never be a perfect Christian at the Judgement, but there are things that the Bible clearly condemns that is being accepted by people who call themselves Christians. I will leave that for God to resolve on the Day of Judgement.

All sins are equal as you have sinned against perfection. One sin does not 'outweigh' another.

I do not understand the concept of a Christian Homosexual(involved in homosexual activity), a Christian Adulterer (involved in adultery), a Christian Socialist, a Christian democrat, etc.

But you don't deny that they exist?

First Amendment. Look it up. Also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separat..._United_States

Response

The separation of church and state is a legal and political principle derived from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." The phrase "separation of church and state", which does not appear in the Constitution itself, is generally traced to an 1802 letter by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists, where Jefferson spoke of the combined effect of the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. It has since been quoted in several opinions handed down by the United States Supreme Court.

Please note the word "derived".

Satan and his followers take the good things of God and perverts (derives) them into evil.

Love is perverted into lust.

Charity is perverted into health care/welfare.

Activist judges derive (pervert) things from the Constitution. Conservative judges stick with what the Constitution says.

Atheists know enough about the Bible is use it to attack Christians and most Christian know so little that they cannot point out the perversion of the Atheists.

Throughout the Bible there is the concept of wars and rumors of war. Christians know there are evil people that would impose their will on others and Christians know the only way to stop evil people in many cases is war.

When Matthew was discussing peacemakers, he was saying that Christians should tolerate a lot of things, and try to maintain peace, but then everyone has the right of self defense when attacked. Christians are told to turn the other cheek for petty insults, but then God orders the execution of a person for violating the Sabbath.

All sins are not equal. Obviously murder is not the same as gossip. I believe there are the Old Testament physical sins and the New Testament spiritual sins. The Old Testament physical sins are forgiven when a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord/Savior and it is expected these physical sins will not occur after a person is a Christian. The spiritual sins of lust, gossip, envy, etc are forgiven by sincerely asking God to forgive them in prayer.
