I do some type of exercise every day. I've not missed a day since June 1, 2016. No injuries. I've finally found success here. For a long time, I was addicted to exercise and would yoyo exercise. I would be extreme, then get injured, couldn't workout for quite some time, then I could and repeat the cycle all over again.
I've been getting a lot of healing for my soul wounds, and getting rid of subconscious bad programming and emotions from the body. It's helped so much. In return, I listen to what my body is telling me. Some days it's saying an intense workout would not be good, so I listen. Other times, it's okay to do an intense workout. Or, if something feels like it's on the verge of injury, then I'll take care of that through restorative work and do something else.
The key to staying motivated is to listen to what your body is telling you, not to your emotions. And, I vary things quite a bit. I try to stay on a program, but if my body says it's too aggressive, then I change things up. I keep a calendar log of all my workouts on an app on my iPhone. I've put the ones for this year that I have completed. It helps me see visually what I've accomplished.
And, I am in some support groups for the workout programs that I'm in. I'm mainly doing Beachbody programs, but I also do other programs. I find the Facebook groups I'm in quite encouraging and people do not bash. When you're with a group of highly motivated people, it helps. Though, I love exercise and am already motivated.
The past couple days, my sleep has been poor so I've not been able to do my normal workouts and have just done light restorative work. My goal is to do something physically active and good for my body EVERY DAY. I am kind to myself, too, so that helps. Hope this helps.
