Are you aware that every single Academy of Science in the world confirms climate change? Are you aware that more than 97% of the published peer review research world wide shows climate change, not only occurring, but due to anthropogenic causes?
Yes Yes and Yes. I work for NOAA in the Marine Chart Division so I get to see first hand the rise in ocean levels due to global warming. I have to put the depth numbers on the charts. There are a couple of islands here in the Chesapeake that have almost disappeared since I have been working here. They used to be populated.

As to "anthropogenic causes," I am not convinced that mankind is ENTIRELY responsible for that. In part, perhaps.

And I consider myself a Liberal in regards to this issue.

Its a climate scam. Its all about political and financial gain. Sure we should not pollute our environment, but sadly politics are involved and so the issue is corrupted, as usual.
I agree that the issue is corrupted due to politics, but climate change is real.

It doesn't take 3 degrees. The little Ice Age was a result of less than 1 deg. C. And BTW, when we talk about degrees we mean degrees Celsius (C), not Fahrenheit, (F).
And the land is following suit?

I care about our environment. And I've educated myself enough to know, that once the ocean becomes anoxic, we're headed for extinction. We are at a tipping point in time. Humans are no longer a part of nature, but a we've become a force of nature.

Here in the DC area, EVERYTHING is exploited for political purposes.

Which makes it all the more urgent to vote for good legislation that supports the environment when you get the opportunity.

I see it quite the opposite actually. Politics is the greatest pollution. It pollutes our mind and hearts with deception, polluting my air and water with a hostile cabal of contentious factions

As for climate...... well....
it is fulfilling prophesy.

I reckon the loss of trees and species of animals (land and water) and the poisoning of the oceans is fulfilling prophesy too, come to think of it.....
So it's not true because it's just made up by crazy liberals...but it also is happening because prophecy??

Agreed, it can be overwhelming. However, IMO, it's important to vote locally, and vote the environment. After all, what's the point of a "utopian" society in an environment that doesn't support life as we know it.

On paper, no doubt.

It's just a scare tactic; that's all it is.

Or it's being used as a scare tactic.

To me, global warming is just another indication that the LORD is about to come back.

We live in exciting times, don't we?

That's all fine and dandy, but I did my time with Y2K and it's not going to happen again.

You guys are going to have to come up with something a lot more convincing than climate change or Genesis 2:15 to motivate me to start taking the bus everywhere.
You made the same mistake with Y2K. You listened to the press and not to the experts. Don't blame us if you keep listening to the wrong sources.

I agree with the concept that we are stewards of God's Creation - well at least this tiny portion whereupon we trod.

I agree that science and what Scripture, appears to say, does not always readily coincide.

I agree that this causes division amongst some of us.

And I agree this makes for some interesting exchanges.

Why do I agree, do you ask ?

Because God has made me to be an agreeable guy.

Now, I might not agree with what everyone says.

But generally do agree they have the free will to say it.

I am not threated by someone with a contrary view.

I am right enough to know I could be wrong.

And secure enough to accept that I am different from some.

While being concerned enough to seek to clarify and confirm what is truly true.

I believe none of us know everything perfectly.

And that it is wrong to be unkind towards those who appear ignorant.

Especially when we also are somewhat ignorant ourself.

I'm thankful for the growth taking place in my life.

I attribute it to The Lord's influence upon me.

I gave my life to Him in a moment of deep. dark, despair.

And He's graciously helped me along me ever since.

That is my belief. That is my experience.

Is it possible I'm mistaken ?

Yes, it is.

But I see no substancial reason to doubt it.

Back to the topic, you say ?

Right you are !

Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up. <---> Psalm 28:5

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. <---> Revelation 11:18

Earth's resources are finite, even if one is not convinced by man made climate change, reducing dependency on fossil fuels, and switching to solar/wind/thermal/water energy is a far better way to maintain the environment.
