Do you want money?
Do you want family? Peace? Safety? Happiness?
You don't have to be eternally miserable. But what use are all the rich people who have family and supports while having nothing to do with God and His Word except working and singing but remaining carnal and confused.
And arguably everyone might consider themselves rich in a way, as they aren't desperately trying to seek the spiritual things? People work hard but sin and don't see what's really going on.

Seek first the kingdom of God. But not just in empty words and religious acts as if you'll impress someone.

Of course we can. Jesus teaches us to pray: "Thy will be done". God wants us to prosper and be in good health. Of course God's definition of prosperity is different from the definition you find in the world's dictionary. This is why we need the Mind of Christ so we can understand the Divine thoughts of God.

Yes, we all do pray for God's blessings, don't we? However it should not just be about us. We should pray that prayer more for others than ourselves.
