BOSTON -- Massachusetts Senator-elect Scott Brown told supporters his adult daughters were "available" in an awkward moment during his victory speech Tuesday night.

Brown thanked his daughters, Ayla and Arianna, for their support during his campaign against Democrat Martha Coakley for the late Ted Kennedy's seat before adding "just in case anybody who's watching throughout the country, they're both available."

That's actually kinda endearing, to be honest.

I went to my dad's retirement party and had to give the first toast and when I was done my add said "that's my girl, folks, and hey, all you single guys, she's single too!!" Was it a bit awkward? Yeah, just a little...but it was my daddy!

This new made me smile. I hope no one is castigating the guy for doing it.

ETA: this part made me laugh a lot.

The crowd roared, Ayla covered her mouth and looked embarrassed and told her dad "Not Arianna."

"No, no, no. Only kidding, only kidding," Brown said. "Arianna is definitely not available, but Ayla is."

Not really. A normal father would be somewhat nervous but would want to walk his daughter down the aisle, especially after he gave his permission to his new son-in-law to marry his daughter.
