I found this great little summary of errors of Seventh Day Adventism. This sect of Christianity claims that Christians should not worship on Sunday, which is the “sign of the beast’, but that we should all worship on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath. This article summarizes their beliefs, errors, thoughts on Catholics and how to respond. Enjoy. It begins:

Answering Seventh Day Adventism

There are two major distinctive claims of Seventh Day Adventism, which separate it from the rest of Christianity:

First, that Christians are supposed to keep Saturday, the Sabbath, holy. They oppose worshiping on Sunday, arguing that it’s against the Ten Commandments and generally anti-Scriptural.

Second, that the founder of Seventh Day Adventism, Ellen G. White, was a prophet.
The official Seventh Day Adventist website declares:

One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy. This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen. G. White . As the Lord’s messenger, her writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction.

But as we’ll quickly see, White was no prophet, and her works are riddled with errors. Let’s look at two of her major claims about the Sabbath, both from her supposedly-inspired book, The Great Controversy. I. When Did Sunday Worship Begin?

How about posting this somewhere else ... giving others an opportunity to respond to it? Otherwise if one disagrees or has additional information/explanation and state so in THIS forum they will be cited for "teaching" something that is not in line with catholic teaching.

You can post it if you want but this was written for Catholics as to how to answer their SDA friends.

The 7th Day people are correct in one respect: The Sabbath day is Saturday. That has always been the case and that never changed. But the are grossly erroneous in the implications they draw from this. There are myriad non-sequiturs in what they draw from this.

First off, that doesn't mean we shouldn't gather and worship on Sunday. In fact, who says we should only worship the Lord one day out of the week?

I have also heard that to observe Sunday worship and church-going is to accept the Mark of the Beast. That's utter nonsense! While we may not yet know what the Mark of the Beast will be like when those days come, we can know that accepting that Mark will be a willful act. It will not be possible to accept that Mark and not know that you have accepted it.

The weekly Sabbath WAS a command given to the Israelites at Mt Sinai. It and the other 612 laws of the old covenant also referred to as the Mosaic covenant ended at Calvary where Jesus Himself ratified the new and better covenant with His own blood. New covenant, new laws.

Jn15:9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.

Notice, Jesus kept the Mosaic covenant. He didn't ask us to keep it, instead asked us to love each other as He loves us. Read 1Jn3:19-24. There you will find we are of the TRUTH if we believe in Jesus and love each other. That is what Christianity is about.
