Hunger?

Domino’s latest ‘‘delivery person’’ stands 3 feet tall and doesn’t need to be tipped. It has ferried pizzas in Brisbane at a top speed of 12 miles per hour, and the company’s Australian master franchise said it’s excited for what could come next.

‘‘We have a relentless passion to push the boundaries of what’s possible with pizza delivery,’’ said Michael Gillespie, chief digital officer for Domino’s in Australia. ‘‘As we get further, it’s not hard to believe that we might have a store with a couple of [robots] that are doing deliveries.’’

Domino’s has started using a robotic cart named DRU, which stands for Domino’s Robotic Unit, to deliver its offerings. So far Domino’s has only one DRU. The prototype was developed with an Australian startup, Marathon Robotics.

The DRU drives on bike paths and sidewalks to find the most efficient, fastest route. Gillespie pointed to its ability to circumvent heavy traffic as a key advantage over vehicles.

DRU is not being used on roadways, and legal approval is a hurdle.

Well, that is cool and all but... Domino's?
Dominos has gotten a bit better the last few years.

What I'm waiting for are the pictures of the drone covered in graffiti.

"Pizza Hut was here" "Papa Johns is your daddy" etc..

Maybe it's the Jersey in me, but I have never understood the desire to eat chain pizza. Blech!

That's pretty much the only way I've eaten pizza...

Hmmm... I know there are some around that aren't chain, I shall find one and eat there.

Tell me, Chicago, Detroit or New York style pizza?

Never had Detroit style, but definitely New York style over Chicago. Deep dish is a just too much, I shouldn't have to eat a pizza with a knife and fork. As for non-chain, some are hit or miss. I'm in Philadelphia now and there are a lot of misses. It must be a college thing because I live near a college and the pizza is horrible (I lived in another neighborhood in the city and it was excellent).

After growing up with Tri-State pizza, every other part of the US other than Italians who moved to Florida is a disappointment for quality pizza.

Anyone have recommendations for a good pizza place in Boston?

Where in Boston?

Santarpio's is ok, but not worth the trek if you're not already in East Boston, and not worth the lousy service if you want to dine-in rather than carryout.

If you want froofy hipster brick-oven pizza, Posto near Davis Sq is good.

Not Emilio's on Tremont - that place only survives by being across the street from the theater.

Anything on these lists should be good:

They've probably learned from Hitchbot to not run these trials in the US until they can develop an armored version.
