Someone, as an intended compliment I think, likened Willis to James Earl Jones' character from Conan the Barbarian, with the shoulder-length hair and stern visage, and I can't unsee it.
Now imagine her saying this about Trump:

"What is best in life?”
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"

MAGA Activist at Fulton County Jail Claims He’s ‘Filed’ for ‘Arrest’ of Fani Willis For Indicting Trump

A Georgia Republican who apparently once ran incredibly unsuccessfully for office, MAGA activist Brad Barnes claimed outside the Fulton County Jail that he has “filed for the arrest” of District Attorney Fani Willis for indicting Donald Trump.

To be fair, Willis is coming for Harrison Floyd. But still not a great look from Georgia's Lt. Governor Burt Jones attacking her and the rule of law.

...and then act like they are innocent when someone takes their verbal threats literally.

Words have consequences.....

Members of the Georgia Grandy Jury have, apparently, been 'Doxxed' by Trump supporters. There is an article on NBC news.

After grand jurors were doxed, Georgia prosecutors want Trump trial jurors shielded

"It is clearly foreseeable that trial jurors will likely be doxed should their names be made public," Willis wrote in her motion Wednesday. "If that were to happen, the effect on jurors' ability to decide the issues before them impartially and without outside influence would undoubtedly be placed in jeopardy."

Oh hey, the special grand jury recommended Burt Jones (and all the other fake electors) be indicted for his role in that scheme. 19 Yes/2 No votes.

Today, [GA State Senator Colton] Moore called on the GA Senate to send State Troopers to haul DA Fani Willis and others before the Senate to answer for the indictment of Trump and his co-conspirators.

"Do you want a civil war? I don't want a civil war. I don't want to have to draw my rifle."

Georgia Republicans boot state senator who led charge to impeach Fani Willis

A Republican state senator in Georgia who has been the top voice calling for the impeachment of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been ousted from the party's caucus, reported Newsweek on Thursday.

Right-wing activists have responded to the move with rage. Laura Loomer, a self-proclaimed Islamophobe and multiple-time failed congressional candidate who was considered for a spot on Trump's campaign, took to X to call the ouster an "abomination" and say, "I stand with Colton Moore!"

A principled act from the Republican Party?!?

Alabama man charged with making threats against Georgia prosecutor, sheriff over Trump election case

The indictment returned Oct. 25 and unsealed Monday accuses Arthur Ray Hanson II of Huntsville of leaving threatening voicemails for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat on Aug. 6. Reached by phone Monday, Hanson, 59, said he is not guilty of the charges.

Hanson is not the first person to be charged over alleged threats made in relation to a criminal case against Trump. A Texas woman was arrested in August, charged with threatening to kill a member of Congress and the federal judge overseeing a criminal case against the former president in Washington.

Actual lawyers seem to have a dim view.

"This is an actual incitement": Legal experts alarmed after Trump pushes "citizen's arrest"

George Washington University Law Prof. Jonathan Turley, who frequently defends Trump in the media, also warned: "Just in case anyone is taking such a statement as more than a fantasy, there is no basis for a citizen’s arrest and such an effort to physically hold either the judge or the attorney general would most certainly constitute a criminal act."

'Deluge' of threats against judge and law clerk in Trump’s civil fraud trial are detailed in new court filing

Then, on the second day of the trial, Trump posted a message on Truth Social identifying Engoron's principal law clerk and falsely claiming she was in a relationship with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. While Trump himself did not threaten her, Hollon said, "the comments made in his post resulted in hundreds of threatening and harassing voicemail messages that have been transcribed into over 275 single spaced pages."

Colorado Supreme Court justices face a flood of threats after disqualifying Trump from the ballot

The latest round of threats fits a familiar pattern: Trump faces a legal setback, and officials face threats.

Advance Democracy, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that conducts public interest research, identified "significant violent rhetoric" against the justices and Democrats, often in direct response to Trump's posts about the ruling on his platform Truth Social. They found that some social media users posted justices' email addresses, phone numbers and office building addresses.

"This ends when we kill these [beggars]," a user wrote on a pro-Trump forum that was used by several Jan. 6 rioters.

"Kill judges. Behead judges. Roundhouse kick a judge into the concrete," read a post on a fringe website. "Slam dunk a judge's baby into the trashcan."

CBS

"The country is over anyway," wrote another. "Only thing left is civil war and retribution against those who destroyed it."

Other users suggested that Trump's opponents should be thrown out of helicopters, recreating the method Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet used to kill his political opponents, and others blamed Jews for the court's decision.

Dukes of Hazzard star calls for Joe Biden and his son to be publicly hanged

Beneath the post [by Biden referring to Trump as a "threat to democracy"], Schneider replied: "Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider."

[Thanks to MTG, the public knows Hunter is.]

Colorado SoS Jena Griswold received 64 death threats and more than 900 threats of abuse within three weeks of the case being filed to keep Trump off the state ballot.

She’s faced an astounding uptick in threats amid the lawsuit over Trump’s eligibility to appear on the state ballot, even though she has nothing to do with it. The case, which was brought in September by the group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, was filed by six unaffiliated and Republican voters in Colorado.

“I did not file this case. I’m part of this case because I’m the secretary of state,” Griswold said. “Within three weeks of it being filed, I received 64 death threats and over 900 non-lethal threats of abuse. I stopped counting after that.”

Griswold emphasized that she’ll follow whatever court decision is in place when it is time to certify ballots. Her statutory deadline is Jan. 5, but there are other steps that happen before the ballots are printed, she said, so there is a little wiggle room to accommodate for more court decisions. Regardless of what the U.S. Supreme Court does or doesn’t do, she said Colorado voters can rest assured their elections will be on track and play out fine.

Law enforcement investigating threats to Colorado justices after Trump ruling

Peter Simi, a Chapman University sociologist who has studied far-right extremism, served as an expert witness in the trial that considered Trump’s ballot eligibility in Colorado this fall. He told The Post that he’s seen an increase in threatening rhetoric from apparent Trump supporters in response to the court’s decision, including “strong accusatory language and calls to have [the judges] arrested.”

“It’s critical we take these very seriously, first, as a public-safety issue and, second, as a threat to democracy,” he added. “I also think we need to look at the most recent threats to the Colorado Supreme Court justices within the context of the much longer pattern of Trump and his supporters promoting political violence.”

Simi said that immediately after his testimony in Colorado this fall, he also observed what he referred to as “indirect death threats” online and received a number of “aggressive” voice mails and emails. The messages referred to him in derogatory terms and called for his arrest. There also were demands to have Chapman University fire him.
