It has been so long I'll probably have to reread everything that came before it.

So I can wait until it comes out in paperback.

That is the problem when an author takes too long between books.

I read and enjoyed the first two books in A Song of Ice & Fire but decided that I wasn't going to read any more in the series until its finished...if I still care by then.
