I can't even imagine what it's like to lose a child, especially like this. I feel for the families.

Sadly it just isn't surprising or shocking anymore. Not much more to say really since it all falls on deaf ears.

These tragic killings featured at the top of the 24 hour news across Australia. It had one newsreader shaking his head in disbelief and asking why nothing is done.

"Thoughts and prayers - and then they do nothing?"

Are Americans aware that these incidents are reported worldwide and that most of us have difficulty accepting that nothing, nothing, is done??

One consistent factor in most mass shootings is the killer is usually a teenager or close to it. I fully expected what I read; "The suspect was an 18-year-old male". So what's causing these kids to go on shooting sprees? Other info makes this look very similar to Sandy Hook. Tragic doesn't begin to describe it. I wonder if like others he exhibited warning signs and or left warning messages.

The city is 80% Hispanic or Latino. Odds are that many of the children were also Hispanic or Latino.

Oh, yes, the NRA is meeting this Friday and the keynote speakers include the defeated former President as well as Texas Senator Cruz, whose character cannot be summarized any better than the
Former Speaker of the House John Boehner once did.

I am certain “thoughts and prayers” will be plenty and mental illness and immigration will be blamed. A good time will be had by all in celebration of the Second Amendment.

It would be more efficient to have a designated day each year or quarter where we do that, that way we can mourn multiple mass shootings at once. I mean if we took a day or mourning for every one there goes weeks of productivity.

This country has decided this is an acceptable price to pay for easy access to guns. Anyone who is against tighter gun control is okay with this happening. There have been pushes for gun control but they have said “no” so we get to pay with our children’s blood.

At this writing, the AP has the number of children killed at 18 with 3 adults killed. Including the gunman, that's 22 dead.
