"Male and female he created them ..."

Are women different from men in the ways that they think or is it more truthful to think of any differences between people as mostly independent of sex? I am asking this in a biblical context, creation, and biblical practises may give slightly different messages. And one's interpretive framework will without doubt play a role in one's answer.

From personal experience we can see that there are similarities and differences, just as the Bible records it. Men and woman are basically equal in their call to be "Man" in the generic sense. We are all pursuing the goal of producing a proper representation of God's image in our lives, though we may achieve the same goal in different ways.

Our differences are in the roles we play, and psychologically we would reflect this in our thinking and behavior. We approach the same goals with slightly different tools. Undoubtedly, some of these "tools" are reflected in our psychological processes. The way Man fell would certainly reflect in the psychology of men and women differently, since the woman was deceived and the man was weak.

Again, these differences, though significant, are slight with respect to our common human makeup. We are all partly deceived, and we are all partly weak. All men come from women.

On the whole, in terms of psychology, I don't think there's really much difference at all. I do think we tend to behave differently due to culture and socialisation (the nurture side of the nature/nurture debate).

I don't think so. I think we're all susceptible to the same passions and capable of the same virtues. I think the scriprures bear that out, for the most part. When Jesus talks about what comes out of the heart, or Paul about renewing the mind, they don't make it gender specific. I do think it's true that women mature emotionally quicker than men. At least, most of them seemed to have matured quicker than I did. Lol

yes, the brain structure and functions are slightly different, men excel on some things women on other, also hormones play a role on behaviour definitely there are and they are not independent of sex, there is a purpose behind. Overall both are as intelligent and equally capable.

Peace

According to Paul, they are.

it is because of paul downgrading women that they suffered and still do.
Then it is Jesus who downgraded women, because Paul got his doctrine from Jesus Christ personally (Gal 1:12), having been caught up to the third heaven (1 Co 12:1-7).

Wow! Good answer.

The curse of the Fall continues through time and is not culturally conditioned for men and women. As for Christian men, the responsibility is harsh: "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." I Tim. 5:18

What makes you think this is only for men? There is nothing in the grammar of the Greek to make this something directed only to men, and not to all adults.

Is that biological rather than personally meritorious? Men have their puberty a little later than women do, that may cause some differences in brain development at a given age, say 15, that later levels out.

this is what paul says, where are his witnesses? Jesus had thousands of witnesses, was in prophecy, john the baptist sent before him etc... no witnesses for paul, witnesses are a major item to prove who is who, paul fails in this respect. Jesus words are paramount above all else to follow paul's doctrine is a grave mistake.

Note: all the disagreements are due to paul vs Christ. Christ never downgraded women never.

So you reject most of the New Testament except the gospels and Acts?

All of the bible I read but Paul's no More. there are several reasons for this if you want to know i could elaborate but are you ready for the truth? many have been deceived by Paul, ill give you one hint, in revelation, how many doors to the new Jerusalem, how many foundations with the name of the apostles? 12 not 13.

I’ve probably heard it before. I met someone who said something similar and claimed that Paul was the first Antichrist

I didn't read the whole thread but I can say with great confidence that men and women ARE physically different......

Some women get to be big and powerful. With some training I have no doubt that one could knock a man on his backside quick. However, if you paired up 10 random men and 10 random women, a few women may get the better of their male counterpart. However, if you were to look at the averages, it would most likely be the men winning more often just due to genetics. There are far less women who are 6'2 than women who don't often grow more than 5'10 but some surely do.

Now, we could even throw all of those averages out the window. The bottom line is women can make a baby (with the help of a man). Men can't. Men have no physiology that would allow them to give berth. That makes us different physically. I won't get into the fact that men and women often have different perspectives when raising children. A woman knows that if she gets knocked up, she will have to take care of him or her no doubt or question about it, but a man can make a baby and just skip town when he finds out. That's where the old saying comes from 'Mama's baby daddy's maybe, A woman knows that's her baby from the first kick. A man will have to witness it or be told of it. It littorally comes from their body so that much more connected with the child she carried. A man will never, ever know that sensation so I think we are pretty different physically.

I dont know about Antichrist but for myself every time paul contradicts Christ, I follow Jesus teachings instead, cant go wrong if you do follow Jesus teachings instead of Paul doctrines.

You can probably start your own denomination then because what you’re saying goes against what most of them teach
