Don't be naive. That's the problem the racist and indoctrination books would still be there without the law. But are you trying to tell me that every single book was violating the law?No. That's not true. If that law wasn't in place, those books would still be on the shelf. It's the most unfathomably stupid rule I have ever heard.
They knew what they were doing? Of COURSE they did. They don't want to offend the lilly white racists who can't bear to handle the abuse of being reminded of the tragedies black people and gay people have been subjected to by their ancestors. This is how you keep your job as a teacher in Florida.
I'm sure you would think that was evil teachers being manipulative, but that's because you don't trust them to begin with.
The grandchildren of the people yelling at Ruby Bridges to get out of their school and all sorts of colour epithets are now the ones who don't want books about Ruby Bridges read in their children's school.
It's just a bunch of cowards crying about being unable to control their own children and every single thing that they are presented with.
Don't be silly. They removed the books not because they were concerned but because they were trying to make a stupid point of I guess we can't have any books then. How stupid was that.
It sure seems that you just refuse to listen to what people are saying. We don't care if schools teach about slavery and Jim Crow. Haven't you heard that was being taught in schools long before CRT came along. And guess what. We DIDN'T CARE. I have no idea why you think we do.
And we've seen the videos of what teachers are doing and parents saw what teachers were teaching. So don't tell us what they were not doing because we saw it with our own eyes.
So please stop with the misrepresentation of it all. White supremacists indeed. Pha!
