Sick.

I don't know what's wrong. This has been on and off for a few months now. And I really can't afford invasive tests before school.

A lot of people who have P.T.S.D suffer from some form of low immune response symptoms. The constant stress eats away at everything that's healthy it seems. Constant flues, lung and gut problems are very common. i take one cut up garlic clove a day for prevention, and three x one cut up garlic clove when ill and that helps a lot i find.

GoodRx has coupons and such for medications. CostCo and Sam's Club also has discounts for prescriptions (you need the plus for Sam's, however, I don't know about CostCo).

Thanks, Firefly. I am aware of these coupons and will use them should I ever require a high dollar RX with no other choices.

Medicare only pays about 80%, so I purchase supplement insurance to cover the 20%, plus RX insurance, totaling about $110 a month. My RX copays are quite reasonable ($1 to $5). My gym dues (about $32) were covered as well till last April, but will be covered again starting next January.

Jeshu is right about gut problems, ect. I have diverticulitis (doesn’t bother me much at all), and my older sis died from a bowel perforation. Depression runs in the family. I have 5 siblings, 3 have died; none except my oldest sister and I made it past 62. My youngest brother is difficult; 60 years old and refuses to get help. Would prefer to blame everyone else for his own choices. I finally had to cut ties with him because he is so abusive.

Sorry to get off track. Stress is something that must be managed. I just need a little help now so I’m getting it.

You have been through so much, and, as Jeshu mentioned in another post, you really are a strong person, though you often don’t feel like you are. Hope things go better for you soon.

How to I overcome this feeling help! And to answer the question on this forum I am currently feeling guilty and shameful. I would really like someone to answer me for spiritual guidance.

I've struggled with the same thing for a long time. But fear not. Mindless fear and shame without meaning is not what God wants from us. God isn't a trickster baiting us into traps and laughing at us when we fall for it.
You're young and becoming sexually active, it's not like you're a monster. Your mother is right, don't obsess about it.

About feeling guilty: sometimes some kind of guilt and shame can be good, we can learn from it. I've needed plenty of that, and I won't be free from it in the future either. It can be a reminder, and most of us have our stubborn weaknesses and sins, whatever they may be, and our failures can remind us about our imperfection, our need for Christ. But when the guilt and shame are just there to put you down, to oppress you and take all hope away from you, do not believe those feelings. Treat them as lies. Christ came to free us, to give us hope that can never be taken away, not to drown us in our own fears. If your fears tell you: "God doesn't love me", don't believe them. God's love is more powerful than ours, and even we can love our own children very much, no matter what they do, no matter the situation. And yet, His love is stronger, it's relentless, and it's perfect.

Think of Christ on the cross. He prayed for those who crucified Him. That love is stronger than our sins, stronger than our fears. Chin up! Oh and welcome.

I’m sure your recent heat wave was really unusal for you to deal with, but I also saw news footage of some of you northerners enjoying the warm beaches!

I remember a ministry trip to northeast Russia near the arctic circle in 1994. -30F the whole time, and us being from Texas. It was quite uncomfortable operating in weather one is not used to.

Let the ice age begin!

Not quiet an ice age here but it has been cold and wet Down Under. For the last 4 days we have had low temperatures 9-12 degrees with heavy winds and lots of rain, this is very cold for our doing.

Yes, things are more stable, and it’s taking just a small bit of medical help, but the doctor wants to extend the time to six months before being weaned off it.

I never stopped functioning, but things were diffucult. Doc says definitely chemical imbalance related, which I knew since that was my original diagnosis, but I also had some unresolved deep seated hurts and anger issues that needed to be addressed. The Lord brought Jeshu along side to help me understand and wrote hard things I needed to read. Did it all PM as some issues were rather personal in nature. He had dealt with the very same problems himself in the past.

A recent exam revealed I am iron deficient and anemic. Doc put me on 45mg iron supplement. Will have more bloodwork in October to check it again. Just feeling tired and run down on some days. Could indicate internal bleeding which I had surgery for in 2010. A congenital thing I was born with involving the stomach lining. Prostate numbers are a little off too but not unusual for a man my age. Otherwise, I am quite healthy with good muscle mass, blood pressure, cholesterol, ect. Had a cancerous mole removed last month. Lost count on how many times I’ve had to have that done over the last 33 years. They removed one of my eyes in ‘86 because of a nasty melanoma growing inside it. Cancer’s been trying to get me ever since but I’m still here.

I’m 65 and only 5 lbs heavier than when I was 20. Run 7 miles every other day and lift weights. Don’t necessarily have everything I want but have everything I need. Depression weighs heavy, though, and that’s where God’s love and grace is so depended on.

I am certainly not “in your shoes”, that is, not sharing your experience, but I am wondering if perhaps it may be better for the time being to keep theological discussions to a minimum. Meaning, concentrate more on just loving your parents while they are here and alive. Being the hands of Jesus, seeing to their practical needs, affirming your love for them. Actions can speak louder than words.

It’s not easy when those close to you can be so unloving and unsupportive at times. I’ve had to endure that pain as well. Please do not give in to your feelings of guilt; just do the best you can. Remember, you are responsible for what you say and do; your father is responsible for what he says and does. Prayers.

That is a good prayer. Asking for more love and compassion towards others shows where your treasure (heart) is. Prayers like these are my favorite. We fully admit our weakness, after experiencing it first hand, and we go to God whose love is perfect, asking for more love, mercy and strength in our hearts. It's humbling, and it keeps things in perspective.
