"First, . . . to want to affirm that in reality the sun is at the center of the world and only turns on itself without moving from east to west, and the earth . . . revolves with great speed about the sun . . . is a very dangerous thing, likely not only to irritate all scholastic philosophers and theologians, but also to harm the Holy Faith by rendering Holy Scripture false."--Cardinal Bellarmine, 1615

If you insist that the Bible must be interpreted literally, I think that would suit most atheists. Such a Bible is easily proven to be false. Your choice.
Loudmouth, I haven't talked to you for a couple years but remember our bouts about evolution and the age of the earth. You are still on that warpath without change and I on mine. I would imagine thousands of posts arguing against your theories did nothing to change your mind - so there is no need for me to try after all that. I accept your position, just disagree!

Thousands of evidence-free posts did not change my mind. If you also lack any evidence, then you probably won't change my mind.

I have said from the beginning that evidence will change my mind, yet no creationist can bring that evidence to bear.

That's interesting because I was under the impression that half of Christians believed in theistic-evolution. Polls would also tell you something that I do not believe is true, that 80% of Americans call themselves Christian, when only half of them truly follow and believe in Christ.

How do you come to this statistic? Far less than half of Americans regularly attend church.

That's true, only maybe 40%. But I've seen it polls that most Americans would consider themselves Christians (80+%). I don't know their hearts. You can be a staunch believer yet not go to church as long as you have a relationship with Christ and read your Bible or at least you've done a fair amount of study. Let's face it, faith comes by the WORD, so the more you study and nourish your spirit, the stronger your faith. 90% say they believe in God and only about 9% don't.

Since you've gone a lifetime without God in your life and no one can seem to convince you with evidence, I would say, just wait a little while longer and that your stubbornness will soon be broken. In the next couple years you just may experience God's wrath against those who reject Him. But then_ it may be too late? Being caught without God in the middle of The Great Tribulation Period will be terrifying. You asked for evidence (that is all around you), but denied it. As for the coming evidence, you will not. The Bible says as much as 2/3 of the population be will destroyed. After the last Trumpet sound , the Bowls of Wrath are released and no one repents; they just curse God and shake their fists at him. Let's say for argument sake, this happens and the world suddenly is thrown into cataclysmic events, will you pass it off as just man killing himself and natural causes, etc., or would that be convincing enough for you? Oh wait, one more thing, if that isn't enough, how about Jesus Himself descending from heaven? The Bible says, "Every eye will see Him." That's gonna be some shameful moment -- and you can thank all your mentors for that.

I was a Christian for the first 22 years of my life, and no one has presented me with evidence for creationism.

I would say, just wait a little while longer and that your stubbornness will soon be broken.

It is the creationists who are stubborn with the evidence. They still refuse to show me any.

In the next couple years you just may experience God's wrath against those who reject Him. But then_ it may be too late?

I am not convinced by fake threats, either.

You asked for evidence (that is all around you), but denied it.

Like what?

This is what I mean. Creationists refuse to present evidence.

That's interesting because I was under the impression that half of Christians believed in theistic-evolution. Polls would also tell you something that I do not believe is true, that 80% of Americans call themselves Christian, when only half of them truly follow and believe in Christ. Probably the 42% are the actual true born again Christians and the rest just are the luke warm folks who may not have even read the Bible, only bits and pieces of it, choosing the verses they like and discard the rest. They've probably never attended a good church for any length of time or maybe were just forced into it by their parents and it never really stuck with them, but still they hold onto this association with Christ. OK, that's still better than being against Christ but in many ways they are against him and they don't realize it. Or maybe they are on the fence and on God's list and when the time comes, He will draw them back?
I think the Liberals are an example of these, people who advocate abortion, gay marriage, socialism, big government, etc.
Anyways, that cleared up my misconception about theistic-evolutionists. I just can't understand how a true Christian can misunderstand Genesis and then distort it to fit into Neo-Darwinian Evolution and their fraudulent dating methods.
The Bible says many will perish and few are saved. For me I believe that one third of all people, tribes, tongues and nations will be saved. Two thirds will perish. In Heaven only one third followed in the rebellion against God. I tend to believe that only a remnant will survive WW3 to repopulate the earth. Maybe only 10% will remain. They will need to find a way to survive off of the grid. They suggest maintaining a vacation home that is off the grid.

You do not believe that Creation exists? Do you think this is some sort of a virtual world? Just a product of our imagination?

No ism exists. Ism's are designed to cause a Schism.

I claim that leprechauns produce rainbows. Would you accept rainbows as evidence for my claim?
The Bible does talk about the rainbow. Gen 9:3 "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth."

I see that you avoided the question I asked.
Actually you are the master of avoidence. You asked about the association between little people and rainbows and I give you what the Bible has to say on the subject. What makes your think that any product of your mind Trumps the Bible? As long as we are on the subject do you think that demons can put thoughts in peoples minds as some people suggest? Or do you think we are masters of our destiny and we create all our own delusions?

No, it isn't. That is begging the question, a logical fallacy.
Not at all, this is called cause and effect. You are promoting a logical fallacy when you say we have an effect with no cause.
