Yes, there is an Arab ethnic group. Black Kenyans are not part of that ethnic group.

Let's look at the top 6 candidates in Iowa. We had
1 non-Hispanic white Christian man (if one believes that Trump is a Christian)
1 non-Hispanic white Jew
1 non-Hispanic white Christian women
2 Hispanic Christian men
1 black Christian man

This is by far, by very far the most diverse groups of candidates ever to run for president.

Of course it shouldn't. However, given the history of the US, the fact that we elected an African-American is indeed important.

Hmm... It's strange to think I would have said either of those things since I don't believe either one of them to be true... Never have.

Possibly not. However the Swahili language spoken in Kenya, where the Obama / Habiba families are from, was originally written in the Arabic script, and not the Latin alphabet, which suggests that the Africans from this region were at one time very, very close to the Arab peoples... Possibly even more than mere trade partners.

He is no more Arab than I am Jewish. And his 'family history' of being Muslim is not nearly as long as his family history of being Christian. The Obama family was Christian until the grandfather converted to Islam, partly as a political statement against British colonialism, and partly because he wanted a second wife. Obama's father ended up converting back to Christianity as a boy but later became a communist. The Obama family is 100% African, period, at least until Obama's father marries a white woman.

For most of history, my family has been some sort of animist/shamanic pagan. What does that make me?
