Point of order, please specify neocons and/or theocons. I assure you that palaeocons find their schadenfreude as disgusting as you do.
My apologies! I often forget most conservatives overseas have almost nothing in common with American conservatism.

I'd wager conservatives probably immediately think most mass killings in the US are jihadists.
Conservatives assume that it's a jihadist when the perpetrators do a mass killing in the name of Islam.

Still, until more info came in and anyone was certain, there was no good reason to assume terrorism when it very easily could have been just another case of a crazy American with a gun shooting up his coworkers.

The information was in. There were plenty of witness accounts that indicated that it was a jihadist attack. But the liberals were ignoring what was being reported and waiting for Obama to call it a terrorist act before they would.

And what exactly was it that told these sage conservatives the killings were 'in the name of Islam', before the deleted Facebook messages came to light?

You know what they say about assumptions...

Without having been there, none of us could say for sure what it was until the valid info came in. Once the info was in, the attack was labeled terrorism.

What more do you want?

And those were terrorism experts?
One doesn't need to be an "expert" to know Islamic terrorism when they see it. It's pretty simple, when someone does a mass killing in the name of Islam it's jihad motivated. And, in this case, the guy had his wife as his accomplice.

Thanks but I'll stick with what the professionals are saying. Which BTW, did end up ruling it a terror attack.

How did the witnesses know the killing was in the name of Islam?

If you wish to always wait to see what Obama says before deciding what to think about it that's up to you. But the fact remains that conservatives were right to judge it as an Islamic terror attack.

Actually, 0/3. You must have missed one.

That means I have to get the next 7 right to maintain my average.

Ooh, sorry, I must have! Your strategy is sound, usually they'd blame Obama if it was raining when they wanted to bbq. They're being unusually open to finding other sources to explain everything bad in the world while absolving themselves of responsibility. Maybe they're subconsciously getting ready for when he leaves office?

King Abdullah is what I would call a secular Muslim. His heritage is as a Muslim and his country is Muslim, but his life choices seem to be secular. He spent his high school and college years in the US. He is very much a secularist who values pluralism. I am sure that more devout sects within Islam would consider King Abdullah to be a MINO (Muslim In Name Only). King Abdullah is fighting for his throne and trying to be a voice of reason. I respect that. I also would not be surprised to one day see him seek asylum in the west or be assassinated. That would be a sad day for Jordan and the Middle East.

Every religion has their liberals - those that use the holy book of their faith merely for social and "cultural" reasons but not really for religious ones as if the book were true. Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, and yes Muslims.

But Abdullah is right that this is a Muslim issue.

Frankly Christians would have a very hard time in our own religion IF it were true that we were all still under the theocracy conditions of Israel and Moses - because there were civil laws under that system that only apply to a theocracy. We do not have that theocracy today - and we also do not have that leadership. That is the same situation the New Testament writers were in - they too did not have that theocracy. So in the NT you have the "persecuted church" model and not the "Wipe out enemy nations model" of the OT.

But ISLAM has a huge problem in that they ARE still under the same conditions as when the book was authored.
