If they use uterus transplants for trans people, that's sick. I'm an organ donor and if I was a woman donor I would want to know that my uterus won't end up inside of a mentally ill man.

I am an organ donor too, but I will not put conditions on who gets my organs. Where would that stop?

1. No homosexual.
2. No person of another race.
3. No person committing fornication.
4. No adulterers (remarried while spouse still lives etc...).
5. No one who commits tax fraud etc.....
6. No one of another religion or no religion.
7. No trans period.

Essentially, no one who is different than the organ donor........

By the time the research was done to ensure the recipient meets extended criteria of a picky donor their organs would be of no value any longer. I am donating them to help anyone who needs them to save or improve their lives, including research. In giving, I give freely without conditions or expectations.

Then you need to make sure that is clear in a living will. What about your heart, liver, lungs, cornea? May those go to a trans person or a homosexual?

I doubt it's likely to come up all that often, but I don't see it as morally any different to a transperson adopting.

Hi,

The technology to make parts that are missing on women, is advancing to the point that some parts can be made for women who are born without. I imagine the same thing is true for males.

To not have a vagina, a uterus or labia minora or majora, (without looking those terms up carefully), is a normal occurance in some cis gendered women, who are also what is called hetero sexual.

That is the purpose for doing that work, it is to lessen the pain of being born less than perfect. Mothers who donate their wombs to their daughters is important in that some daughters cannot have babies without something like that as they were born without wombs or the womb was damaged or removed for some reason, such as cancer.

The technology is to relieve suffering. Transgender women and men are suffering. So, to use it to help a poor woman with a defective body, more serious than no labia, or no vagina, or no womb, is easy to understand.

Did not Jesus say: Come follow me, and I will give you rest? Matthew 11:25-30. So, if Jesus relieves a person, who can say it is not good?

I tend to lean towards it is silly for a completely ignorant lay party to feel they are capable of making medical decisions for someone they do not know, have not reviewed the persons medical records, and have no idea what previous interventions have been attempted.

My child has special needs. Some of these present as mental illness; however, they have a medical basis for those symptoms and are, in fact, not mental illness. Is a lay person who has never met her, nor reviewed her medical records and past interventions capable of making well thought out and appropriate medical decisions for her? I seriously doubt it. Even if they could, I would not allow it.

I doubt (and hope) you would not allow lay people who have never met you or reviewed your medical history and past interventions to make medical decisions for you. Would you allow a stranger you meet in Walmart, a grocery store, or an anonymous forum make your medical decisions for you?
