Why?

If it picked you up in New Jersey and took you to the mountains of California ... in the absence of a containing wall, it would have to be all over the world.
That is exactly what happened to the dinosaurs back in Pangea. A lot of them ended up in the Rocky Mountains from Arizona all the way up to Montana. When the dinos went extinct 64 million years ago then the mammals began to prosper and radiate.

This is a poll.

Please don't read anything more into it than what it is: or I'll be forced to think you are a scientist at the most, or a scientific methodist at the least.

Just take the poll at face value -- if you can.

If not, then go ahead and bring your scientific method into this thread, and I'll show you what I can do with it.

I am taking the poll at face value and not reading into it. You're not forced to think anything, you make a decision to believe if I'm a scientist. I personally believe in young earth creation. However, my faith does not hinge on it nor do I think less of Christians who don't share that belief. I will again say based on your first post it appears you are saying those who believe in evolution are not Christians and follow Satan. I hope that is not what you are saying.

That is not what I'm saying.

This poll has NOTHING to do with soteriology.

And for the record, I don't really consider myself a "Christian," per se; but that's another story altogether.

So don't panic if I don't go around labeling everyone that is born again a Christian.

Some people define "Christian" as "Christ-like;" others define "Christian" as "Christ-follower."

I lean more toward calling myself a saint, until I get to Heaven and achieve final [or complete] sanctification.

If you prefer the label "Christian," I have no problem whatsoever calling you one.

God says CREATION.

Satan says EVOLUTION.

YOU break the tie!

Here you very clearly say "Satan says EVOLUTION". I'm asking are you implying people who believe in evolution are followers of Satan and not God? It's a very simple straight forward question and totally applies to this thread.

For the second time, I said "no."

Not in this thread.

The geology of Noah's flood? Ancient Mesopotamia was a flood plain, there have been lots of floods there. We do not have anything to distinguish the flood that took place at the time of Noah. It is what happened after Noah when farming and the domestication of plants and animals spread from the Middle East or the Futile Crescent to the rest of the world. Science has done lots of research and study on this, along with the study of population genetics.

Noah's flood was also a shadow and a type of when the world of the dinosaurs was destroyed back at the time of Pangaea. Their world came to an end and this is when mammals began to evolve, grow and multiply. There was an extinction as the old world came to an end and the new world exploded when a radiation began.

Science can take a good, long, hard look at Noah's world and see that this world became domesticated and mobil at this point in time. It was no longer the wind spreading the seeds but man now was collecting the seeds and farming the land. Farming along with the plants and animals of the middle east spread to Europe and the world. So Noah did what he was told and repopulated the whole world from the eco system found in the Middle East.

Ok, that's nice... for the third time and counting... geology?

Just how many Americans actually go for this creationist nonsense?
Please AV1611VET don't start in on the Muslims and other religions [who BTW you think are wrong anyway]

Don't bother to answer because I just Googled it.

At the last count Forty six percent of Americans believed in creationism, [it's obviously less than that now] that explains why the US is so backward and out of touch with the rest of the world, the mind boggles.
But it does explain why so few people have all the money in the US.

You mean after the U.S. gave the world: the GPS system, e-mail, the mobile phone, the modern digital computer, and the Internet Protocol System?

And you say we're 'out of touch with the rest of the world'?

I don't think so, chief.

And don't forget:

If it hadn't been for US, you would have typed this in German.

Forty six percent responded that: "God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years or so." Compared to only 15 percent that believed in evolution without any divine intervention. That means 85 percent believe in some sort of a divine intervention. That makes 85% of the people creationist. If anyone is "out of touch" it is you. (Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in themselves, while attributing them to others. (wiki)

Just exactly what geology are you looking for?

"The inundation of large parts of the Euphrates valley, especially in Turkey and Syria, has led to the flooding of many archaeological sites and other places of cultural significance.[56]Although concerted efforts have been made to record or save as much of the endangered cultural heritage as possible, many sites are probably lost forever." wiki

If you look at the map Eden could still be under water.

Hey, what happened to your usual reference to Thalomide?
The U.S. did not condone the use of Thalidomide for prenatal care.

In fact, just the opposite.

Despite pressure from scientists, one lady did a "Rosa Parks" and stood up to them.

She was bestowed the President's Award for Distinguished Federal Civilian Service from President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

AFAIK, that is the only time a person was awarded a medal for standing up to scientists.

I don't think so somehow, had the Nazi's overrun the UK the next country on their list would have been the US,
the US would have done what they were told or they would have had the atomic bomb dropped on them.
What language would you be speaking now? German or Japanese?

None of the things you listed would have come about, [no matter where the ideas originally came for them] and if they did they would have all been claimed by the Third Reich.

I find it very strange AV1611VET that when it suits you science is wonderful and when it doesn't suit you it can take a hike.
It sure sounds as if you are a real honest to goodness Christian to me, the kind of people the native Americans refer to as 'fork tongued', the Brits simply call them 'Double Headers'.

You are telling little white ones AV1611VET, you know as well as all of us it was the money men who pushed Thalidomide.
PS. Thalidomide is still on the market and is being used today.

You probably should.

You probably haven't read everything I wrote about science, and you probably don't know what my Boolean standards are.

Either that, or you ridiculed it when I posted them.

So why wouldn't you find it strange?

You don't even know me.

A real scientist (or adherent to the scientific method) would know what questions to ask me.

Instead of jumping to conclusions.

You're just a shell of a user.

Riding along on the coat tails of the scientific method.
