Not everyone's cut out to be a nun.

Once upon a time, I wanted to be a nun, but it's not going to happen anytime soon.

Becoming a nun's a big life choice to make, and it's a big responsibility and a big sacrifice. You have to live for God and others instead for yourself constantly. Of course, Christians do live by the grace and mercy of our God, and that's not any different for nuns. Still, nuns ultimately give away their lives...

I know that quitting smoking's very hard. I'm not a smoker, but my dad was, and he told me that he felt like he was going to die when he actually quit. But it gets easier after you don't smoke. Some days the cravings might kick in, but don't give into that.

Also a very difficult one.
My mom's sister is a "retired" nun...she's married with two kids now. She couldn't handle the manners and the praying style and had to say good bye.

But for some, its a great choice (if you feel the calling).

It has nothing to do with being a nun...everything to do with lip service/lukewarm Christianity; posers of the faith who are really only here as examples of what not to be for those who truly wish to Glorify Yahweh.

What for? I'm going to visit friends in Wisconsin and Minneapolis, and then my best friend is getting married in Minneapolis on Saturday. It's going to be fun!

There are a lot of things I used to be doing which I know is a sin. But I just can't stop it. Even if I do, within two weeks, I'm back to where I was.
Its really frustrating.

BTW, today is a turning point. There is someone who really can help me. I'm gonna meet her today.

I can only hope for God's mercy.

But it does. For me. being a nun/living my life on earth for God is how I can escape what you have pointed out. we are so readily given the opportunity to live that lifestyle by the church and to serve in the world and I want to take it up.

I am as well...we call all be better glorifiers of Yahweh. Do not let those who are not sway you of otherwise because they are happy being miserable and know not the roots which choke out the joy they think they are watering.

I'm just gonna do some last minute Christmas shopping with my sister on Friday, as well go to my brothers Basket Ball game. The Saturday I'm going out for breakfast with my moms crazy family to celebrate my Grandfathers birthday. And then later going to my cousins' because it's his birthday as well. And then I work Sunday. Which isn't so fun.... but it's money.

I walked across my country for a few years sharing God's experiences, and saw the wonders of His love; I was no monk, simply His son. You, too, can overcome the world without living in fear of it.
