As I understand climate change/global warming, freak weather patterns are a symptom.

If it was snowing in the Sahara, I wonder if skeptics would kick up the "why is it snowing in the desert? Global warming can't be real!" fuss or if they'd think "Why is it snowing in the desert? Freak weather patterns can be attributed to climate change...warming, cooling, more powerful, more eratic, more frequent.
