Are you suggesting that I have to meet him (physically) or attend one of his sermons (physically) in order to make a judgment on whether or not I find him credible as a Christian preacher? Maybe when the lights and cameras go off he tells his congregation the real truth and teaches them the "name it, claim it" secret handshake. I think not.
People judge the Pope, Luther, the Queen of England, presidential candidates et al without ever 1) meeting them or 2) walking in their shoes. I certainly don't need to extend Osteen a special benefit of the doubt. His preaching speaks for itself.
