Yes it does
Being in Christ, we have all that is Christ's--righteousness, holiness, redemption, being seated with him in his heavenly reign (Ehp 2:6), even his own inheritance from the Father (Ro 8:17).

The elect are in Christ before they believe, before they're born even. They were chosen in Him before the foundation and accepted in Him Eph 1:4,6 they were also in Him when He died, buried, risen again Eph 2:6 before they believed, so they had righteousness imputed before they believed

You do not understand the relation between God's eternal decrees and their execution in time.
Though eternally decreed for salvation, one is not actually saved in time until one believes in Jesus Christ, which is a certainty for the elect.

Not according to the OT and the NT.
"Abraham believed the LORD and he imputed it to him as righteousness." (Ge 15:5, Ro 4:2-3).

Abraham was chosen before the foundation of the world, but he was not imputed with righteousness until he believed (Ge 15:5, Ro 4:2-3).

Sinners (all humanity) are born condemned (Ro 5:18).
God has decreed who will believe and thus be saved, but they do not believe, and are thus not saved until they come to faith in Christ and are thereby saved (Eph 2:8-9).

That is the teaching of Scripture which is either your authority, or it is not.

The Gift of Righteousness !

Rom 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

This Gift of Righteousness, one thing it is, its that imputed righteousness freely given without works Rom 4:6

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Which is comprised of Christ's Perfect obedience to Gods Law, in every thought, word and deed ! Thats why its declared, by the obedience of One [Jesus Christ] shall many be made Righteous [as by free gift] Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The word righteous
dikaios means:

  1. righteous, observing divine laws

    1. in a wide sense, upright, righteous, virtuous, keeping the commands of God

      1. innocent, faultless, guiltless
      2. used of him whose way of thinking, feeling, and acting is wholly conformed to the will of God, and who therefore needs no rectification in the heart or life

        1. only Christ truly
      3. approved of or acceptable of God

Isnt that a Unspeakable Gift ? For God, for Christ's Sake, to view many wretched sinners as such ?

Yes, it is an imputed (credited to, counted as, not an actual) righteousness--credited by faith, just as it was with Abraham (Ro 4:2-3, Ge 15:6).

This Gift Righteousness is freely imputed to Gods Elect for Christ's sake, it is the basis for their Justification before God. The word for righteousness in Rom 5:17 is the greek word dikaiosynē and means:

in the broad sense, the state of him who is such as he ought to be, righteousness (German Rechtbeschaffenheit); the condition acceptable to God (German Gottwohlgefalligkeit);

dik-ah-yos-oo'-nay; from G1342; equity (of character or act); specially (Christian) justification:—righteousness.

Also its the basis for Spiritual life, because righteousness brings life Prov 12:28

In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Rom 8:10

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

The Spirit gives the Elect Life because of Righteousness imputed. Christ by His Spirit comes to indwell each one that Has His Surety Obedience and Righteousness imputed to them !

Rom 5:21

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Eternal Life necessitates Spiritual Life !

Justification is righteousness imputed, a declaration of (forensic--right standing, not actual) righteousness imputed.

The Spirit gives the Elect Life because of Righteousness imputed.
Righteousness/justification is imputed by faith alone (Ge 15:6, Ro 3:28, 4:2-3).
We are born again into eternal life by the sovereign choice of the Holy Spirit as unaccountable as the wind (Jn 3:3-8), believe, are saved and justification/righteousness imputed (Ro 3:28, 4:2-3),
as righteousness/justification was imputed to Abraham by faith (Ge 15:6).
Eternal life (God's life) is Spiritual life, the life of God in the human spirit by the new birth, whereby we believe, are saved and justified (righteousness imputed).

Falls somewhat short of a Biblical demonstration both of my error and your assertion, without which demonstrations your assertion has no Biblical merit.

Our disagreement is in regard to God's eternal decree and time.

You see his eternal decree as being executed when it is decreed.

The NT presents it being executed in time, and not actually effected until it is executed in time, it nevertheless being sovereignly certain.
