My worst anti catholic experiences are my only experiences here in CF when people make few good points but no one really attembs to respond to the arguments but begun to debate on them loosely. If you know what I mean. Would be best for all of us to have constructive conversations but even the discussion would be constructive mods will lock the thread.
It's sad.

Most anti-Catholic experiences are through poeples ignorance, not through genuine hatred.

(I know its been mentioned here already, but i wanted to repeat it )

It is the people who ARE informed, and still choose to make up lies about our church in order to promote their own 'church' that make my blood boil. I mean - speaking in genuine ignorance is understandable, there is loads of anti-Catholic propaganda out there, both current and historical.

But a CHRISTIAN makeing up vicious lies in order to make another group look bad - that is plain and simply wrong. And it's most definitely not Christian

Piffle. Apparenlty you are still upset over having your other thread closed?

(Which can be found here, for anyone that cares to read it: http://www.christianforums.com/t1977050-dont-catholics-consider-drinking-blood-as-a-sin.html )

If you recall, it remained open for 106 posts, despite your repeated off-topic slams against Catholicsim. And all of your "questions" were thoroughly answered as well. So the complaining and cheap shots about the moderating really have no merit. If you desire to have sincere questions answered, feel free to ask them. If you desire to make additional slurs against the Catholic Faith or the Catholic Church, or to debate against Catholic teaching, kindly take it elsewhere.

www.reformation.org Is the most horrible experience I have ever had in my life concerning religion. It just made me leave the site with my mouth wide open. They blame the Roman Catholic Church for just about everything from the Civil War & Lincoln's assassination to Kennedy's assassination to the Viet Nam War to the Oklahoma City tragedy (don't ask!!) to accussing them of having nukes in the vatican. Amazing how any moron can actually believe this junk, let alone even understand what in the world this site is even talking about half the time!

I just browsed that site shortly and I must say, its worse than Jack Chick's website! It is full of vile and disgusting lies and is chock full of conspiracy theories. 90% of the information is anti-Catholic lies and conspiracy theories. How sickening.

I don't know. Somehow I think if you asked her, she'd bend his ear for you. I think Marian teachings are some of the most difficult to accept. And you know, if she really is the woman in Revelation crushing the devil's head, then the difficulty in accepting is not so hard to understand.

O to be as faithful as Maria!

Peter denied Jesus three times, yet he was still chosen to be the first Pope.

Never underestimate the forgiving power of God.

Dove, I'm assuming that you've been to confession since then, right? The Sacrament of Confession leaves us absolved from all our sins and starts us on the road to emotional healing. I have done things that I am very ashamed of that make me cry sometimes. But part of the Sacrament is to believe in its power of forgiveness. Confessing to a priest is like confessing and being absolved by Jesus, so really and truly, if you've confessed these sins, it's already been taken care of. If you've partaken of the Sacrament, you needn't worry about such things. I will pray for you, Dove. Peace be with you.

I didn't "slam" people asked me questions instead of answering my question and mocked me. So I responded with questions... which you could not handle.

Dicy,

That’s not entirely true. You asked questions, we gave you absolutely sufficient answers to your questions that you did not accept so you asked more questions in which we gave you more sufficient answers in which you ask more and more questions, that we still answered, but you will not be content with the answer we give you.

How’s that our fault?

Hi Dicy Mind

Some issues might cross over into Catholic Doctrines and might make a Catholic act defensively (quite rightly). Debating someone else's beliefs will not change what they believe.

But its good that we can visit on this forum and discuss matters of mutual interest.

Its a condition of visiting here that no-one crosses the line into debating or being critical of what the RC church believes.

Questions yes, but questions with a hidden agenda no!

Lismore

My worse experience was reading a message board called Rapture Ready where they use the little smile icons that vomit, to vomit on references and images of Mary and the Holy Father.

These people, I fear for their soul.

That place was so unholy and scary. Reading some of their posts against Catholicism made me physically ill. I will never log on to that site again.

Yes, and Christianity.com; where Catholics are not even allowed to speak about their faith. Although I have not been over there for quite some time, so things may have changed.
