Amen!ej said:Most anti-Catholic experiences are through poeples ignorance, not through genuine hatred.
(I know its been mentioned here already, but i wanted to repeat it)
It is the people who ARE informed, and still choose to make up lies about our church in order to promote their own 'church' that make my blood boil. I mean - speaking in genuine ignorance is understandable, there is loads of anti-Catholic propaganda out there, both current and historical.
But a CHRISTIAN makeing up vicious lies in order to make another group look bad - that is plain and simply wrong. And it's most definitely not Christian

If you know what I mean. Would be best for all of us to have constructive conversations but even the discussion would be constructive mods will lock the thread.
It's sad.

CoreyZallow said:www.reformation.org Is the most horrible experience I have ever had in my life concerning religion. It just made me leave the site with my mouth wide open. They blame the Roman Catholic Church for just about everything from the Civil War & Lincoln's assassination to Kennedy's assassination to the Viet Nam War to the Oklahoma City tragedy (don't ask!!) to accussing them of having nukes in the vatican. Amazing how any moron can actually believe this junk, let alone even understand what in the world this site is even talking about half the time!

Dove, I'm assuming that you've been to confession since then, right? The Sacrament of Confession leaves us absolved from all our sins and starts us on the road to emotional healing. I have done things that I am very ashamed of that make me cry sometimes. But part of the Sacrament is to believe in its power of forgiveness. Confessing to a priest is like confessing and being absolved by Jesus, so really and truly, if you've confessed these sins, it's already been taken care of. If you've partaken of the Sacrament, you needn't worry about such things. I will pray for you, Dove.Peaceful Dove said:My worst experience was when I was the anti-catholic. Never underestimate the forgiving power of God.

If you recall, it remained open for 106 posts, despite your repeated off-topic slams against Catholicsim.

My worse experience was reading a message board called Rapture Ready where they use the little smile icons that vomit, to vomit on references and images of Mary and the Holy Father.
These people, I fear for their soul.
That place was so unholy and scary. Reading some of their posts against Catholicism made me physically ill. I will never log on to that site again.
