  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had the pleasure of playin' a bass guitar just like that one, for a year at a Sunday mornin' gig i did for some local Methodists.
It's a Hohner & it doesn't have a head at the top of the neck because it is strung backward with the tuning keys behind the bridge. It never got knocked out of tune & you didn't have to worry about puttin' aomebody's eye out.

I'm not into that whole "positive thinking" everythings smiles and sunshine craphola

I've already been down that road and I realize theres evidence that cognitive behavioral therapy has been shown to remap the brain etc

but whats the cost? lying to yourself? loving a world the bible tells us to hate?

I'd rather just work with what god has given me and strengthen it in ways that will help the campaign of good
