Everyone's familiar with the story of Jesus and the adultress. Woman caught in adultry, dragged out into the street, about to be stoned and...well, you know what happens next. Or so you think. Here's the real story...
Jesus stands up after writing in the sand. He gazes at the crowd of Pharisees, looking into their eyes, capturing their attention. When he speaks, his words penetrate to their very souls: "He who is without sin, cast the first stone." One by one stones drop from their hands. Suddenly, from out of the crowd, flies a jagged rock! It smacks the woman in the temple, and she drops dead. Jesus peers curiously past the crowd to see who threw the stone. When he recognizes the face, he exclaims in frustration:
"Mother! I was trying to make a point!"
Heh heh heh.... for all y'all Catholics out there.
